It's been 7 years since we've been to WDW, and I'm drawing a blank on a few water park issues. We'll be there in about a week, and plan on visiting both TL and BB (not on the same day). We're staying at POFQ.

  • Is there a bus from POFQ to both water parks? Do we catch it at POFQ or do we have to walk over to POR?
  • Is there a bus from the water parks to Disney Springs? Or do we have to go back to our hotel and then get either the boat or bus to Disney Springs?
  • Do most people leave their flip flops at the bottom of the slide and walk up in their bare feet, or do you hold onto them as you go down the slide?
  • I have a sun hat with a chin strap that I'd like to wear for protection (skin cancer issues). Will I be able to leave that on going down slides or need to take it off and hold it? It seems like between flip flops, sun hat, and possibly sun glasses (although I do have a retention strap for them), that I'd be holding onto a lot of stuff going down the slides. What strategies have you employed for all your stuff while on the slides?

There is a bus form every resort, but the routes vary. Often they will have you transfer after a certain time of day, and the bus for Typhoon Lagoon may stop at Disney Springs first (but you stay on and continue). The signs will instruct you, and they may say to take the Epcot bus and transfer or something. They change this sometimes. Going back is the same. I think the routes form TL may stop at DS, but I think they do that on the way in, not out.

You can do either. I usually wear water-shoes and then just put them on my hands. for the ride. You do have to remove them, and the hat if it is a body-slide, but not if it is one where you ride a tube. I have always been able to wear my sunglasses, except on the very fast slides (Humunga Kowabunga and Summit Plummet) where I had to hold them.

we found it much easier this year to Lyft (or Minnie Van) to and from the water parks. And funny we just returned from POFQ. They did appear to have a bus going directly to TL or BB at times, and at times it was combined with a Disney Springs bus. I've done the DS transferring in the past and sometimes I would stay on the bus, sometimes transfer....and vice versa coming home. The bus driver was always very helpful and we always got there easily, but the water parks have always been the one place that can kind of be an ordeal to get to. Especially on the reverse trip home (maybe because I was wet and tired after a day at the parks). Now with lyft and uber and Minnie Vans everywhere, we used these services to get to and from TL on our H20 glow night. It was a breeze and about 7dollars each way. Just an option.
