Which is better? Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon?

It's all according to who you ask. We like Typhoon Lagoon because it looks like a tropical paradise. When you walk out to where the wave pool is you would never know that there are water slides in the areas in back of it. There's lots of trees and plants etc. Also like the snorkel reef and the Crush n Gusher rides and especially like the surfing waves in the wave pool.
Blizzard Beach has a great family raft ride and lots of other slides. Those that are going for the slides would perhaps like BB better. There is a ski lift to take you to the top for the slides. The wave pool is smaller with just the choppy waves. Both are nice.

I couldn't tell you what was better as we haven't done both but we loved BB. There was so much to do for all of us. That said we are doing TL this time to try it and I'm looking forward to Shark Reef.

We have only done Blizzard Beach because Typhoon Lagoon was closed last week for refurbishment. If you have kids in the 7-10 year old range, they have a great pre-teen area for them. There is a T-Bar zipline that the kids grab onto and slide down and at the end jump into the water. There is also a net that they hang onto to help them cross from one ice burg to another across a stretch of water. My boys loved both of these things. I thought it was great that the park had an area for kids this age. I am not sure if Typhoon Lagoon also has an area like this or not.

I love TL, much better, but for the same reasons second poster did...it's beautiful there and it's a lot of fun. BB has more "intense" (for lack of a a better word) slides, but I like the lazy man river at TL and the wave pool sooo much more!

We have been to both and there are pros/cons of each. My DH and I hate the stairs that are needed to get to some of the rides at BB (and the chair lift line is usually way to long) so for that reason, I find it easier to get around at TL.

But then again, we both have some back and knee issues so maybe that makes it worse--just don't want to face that we are the older ones in the most magical place on Earth!!!!!
