Water Park opinions

Considering purchasing annual passes, how often we would go to the water parks is turning out to be a pretty important factor. My children are ages twelve and ten. Are Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon the types of places you could go to over and over without getting bored? I know you can buy passes without the water park options, but we want to include it. Any opinions would be welcome.
Thank you.

The water parks for me have always been sort of a relaxed day. You can hit the slides, grab a drink and relax before going out again. There is a nice relaxed element you can't get running from ride to ride at the major parks. I dont think the water parks get enough credit. There is often also a lot more riding to be had and less lines. In June i think the most we waited was 15 minutes for the most extreme Crush'nGusher. So if I was in the position to have an AP i would add it. And hey if you decide after a year its not worth it, you can always drop it.

Four visits and the water park fun option on your annual pass (premium AP) makes sense -- regardless of the number of theme park days you use it for.

No you cannot drop the water park fun after you exploit it (and turn a PAP back into a regular AP). Also, the policy is that no change is returned if a ticket is downgraded.

My kids were 6 and 11 on our trip. They would happily spend many days at BB and TL! BB was their favorite.

DH and I have AP with the water park option. We usually spend a day at each water park on each trip. We use them as "break days" especially because they are usually less crowded and we don't run around all day long. We find it to be a good value for us.

If you are considering the PAP v. the AP, you also should include the value of unlimited DQ and the current larger discount (20% v. 10%) on merchandise locations.

One thing you can do is start with a regular AP. You can buy one-day water park tickets at a 10% discount from the regular gate price. If you decide you want to upgrade your AP to a PAP at thge ticket window (or Guest Relations) they will apply the price of the water aprk ticket toward the price difference between a regular AP and a PAP. This gives a chance to at least try out one water park. (Only one water park ticket per AP being upgraded.)
