Hello all! I am planning my husband and I's Sept. trip and we're going to the Water Parks for the first time! I keep reading that you will want to rent a locker because people steal items off chairs but what about a water proof camera? Can you hold onto it on every slide/ride? If people steal items off chairs how do you save a chair so you can lounge at the wave pool later? I realize not everyone has items taken but I wouldnt want to lose my camera or other personal items.
Any tips on what to bring or what you do with personal items at the water parks would be great! Also, anyone know how much locker rentals are? Can you put that on your Key to the World card or do I need cash?
We will only be able to go to a water park for 1 day so we have to decide between BB or TL! They both look great but it seems like you have to prepare a lot more to go to a water park!
TIA!
Sept 23-29th POP w/ free dining and Yes, I have my ADR's!

When we went to Castaway Cay the we bought a waterproof disposable camera and it came with a wrist strap on it. DH just wore it on his wrist all day and it was fine.

My family prefers TL over BB. Our waterproof camera does have a strap so I wear it around my wrist. The lockers I believe cost $7 for small and $10 for large, but don't quote me because DH handles that. He pays cash for it. The key for the locker also has a strap that will fit around your wrist. We have never saved chairs when we are there because we are so busy with the kids playing. We leave everything in the locker and then I don't have to worry about someone taking anything.

Hope this helps you out. Have a great trip. :)

Technically water cameras are considered loose articles and are not allowed down the slides. If you bring a hip pack you can put your camera in that and wear it down all the slides, EXCEPT the body slides (Summit Plumit, Slush Gusher, Humunga Kowabunga) on those you can hold it in your hands and ride the slide. Large Lockers are $12 with a $5 refundable deposit and Small Lockers are $10 with a $5 refundable deposit. I am not positive about the Key to the World card but you can use any major credit card so I would guess the disney card would work too.

I took a waterproof camera and had it on the slides. No one said anything to me.

We left our items on a chair and they were never bothered. My DH even left his cash and room key with charging ability there. I was scared to do that, but no one bothered it.

I have heard of items being stolen though.

We enjoyed TL more than BB. We went to TL on an evening that was EMH and also first thing in the morning and it was great. The wave pool is amazing. Plus it has the Crush 'n Gusher (water rollercoaster). I don't know if it was because we didn't get to BB until Noon and it was already packed or because we had just come from TL, but none of us liked it as much as TL. The family raft ride was better at BB than at TL. It felt like the water was colder at BB.
