Water park cabanas

i called about booking a cabana at typhoon and you are not able to request a certain cabana? Has anyone booked a cabana and know how this works? I just told them I would call back later. The consultant I was speaking with did not seem to know very much about doing this.

We want a certain cabana but I am not able to find a map with any corresponding numbers so I started to give a general description of the area we want to be in and was told we can not request a particular cabana until we arrive. However, once we arrive if the cabana we want or the area we want to be is not available can we cancel for a refund?

What is the point of reserving if you can not make a request for the cabana you want? Should we just wait till the day we arrive and see what is available or should we book and hope for the best when we get there? I am thinking its first come first serve on the day of your reservation for the one you want but can you request a particular cabana or do they just pick for you? And if I don't want any that are available can we get a refund?

I know the number of the umbrella's we like and I've never had a problem requesting and getting it. Do you know the number you want? The first time I wasn't sure and they transferred me directly to TL. Call and ask, can't hurt.

I think it's 11 but not sure. I wanted to know if someone had a map online of the numbers. When I called and asked about requesting a certain number they said you can not reserve by number. What's the point of booking early then? Think I may need to just call back and ask again. The first person I spoke with did not even know they had private cabanas at the water parks.

Following along as well! Taking my 22 and 15 year old cousins here for the day in May. Would love to reserve myself a chair and umbrella to relax while they spend the day on the slides!

So I called today and have a few answers. If you do already know the number you can make that request and they will note it on the reservation. You can also give them a general description of the area your looking for. It would help if you have the PDF of the map up and can give directions like, to the left / right of the pool, etc. They can only note what you are requesting. The cabana is not 'booked' until you arrive and at that point you can review and make your request from the remaining available cabanas. They suggest that you arrive at least 10 to 15 minutes before the park opens if you have a specific request. If you do make a reservation now, the full amount of the rental is required. For a full refund you must cancel greater then 24 hours before the date your reservation.

I did not book. My concern is if I arrive on the date we are looking to go and I am not there early enough to request the area we want to be, we may end up with a cabana someplace we are not looking to be and you can not cancel same day for a refund. Not going to risk it and will just walk up the day of and see what they have.

Overall its a great option and really think it would be fun to have. Just really want to make sure we are not stuck somewhere we don't want to be.

My suggestion to Disney here. Allow you to book by number. Not that many and would not be that hard to build it out in your system......

238 total when off season. I was looking at September 6. Not sure what it was for peak.

We have done cabanas and patio tables at both water parks and I have had the best luck requesting an area rather than a #.
