Water Park Annual Pass Question

I'm a few weeks away from buying my APs. I'm also going to add water park APs.

I know the DVC Gold AP will be a voucher that I activate at the park. Are the water park APs the same way, or are they active at the time of purchase?

I searched the boards, but couldn't find the answer.

You don't get a DVC discount with the water park annual passes. They should be active when you get them.
