I'm staying at the Contemporary Resort and have read about the various water craft for rent by guests. What is a "water mouse"?
Thanks!:boat:

My boys call them 'Mouseboats' and they are GREAT! They are little two person motor boats that you can rent by the half hour and explore around the lakes.

I'm not sure of the cost, but they are great! We always find time to rent them. You're at a great spot too. I think the waters around the MK is the best place!

My dh and I did this on our last trip and had a great time! We zipped around all over the lake and exploring . It was a beautiful day and a great way to spend an afternoon away from the parks. Also, from what I have heard is that there are now newer versions called Sea Raycers and they are even faster! Have fun.

When we went to WL in November they offered the Plans listed below they are available at all Resorts with Marina's
Water Mouse (Maximum 2 people) - $20.65/half hour
or
*Recreation Family Plans:
Plan includes the Water Mouse, Pontoon Boats, Canopy Boats, Sailboats and Bicycles, (Cruises and Surry Bikes NOT included)
Captain Plan: 4 hours of rental per Group $115 plus tax
Family Plan: Length of Stay Plan (Weekly Rate for Use of Equipment Listed Above) $199.00 plus
tax (Up to 5 Guests per Plan)

We rented water mice at the GF on our very last day. It was such a great way to end our trip. The lake around the GF, CR, WL is so beautiful. You won't be dissapointed if you choose to spend the $$$$. Just a note though the more weight that you have in the boat the slower it goes. My 6'7 father-in-law found this out the hard way.

I read, and saw a picture, of new mice coming this spring. My 2003 Birnbaum shows boats that replaced the originals - the only ones I've been on. So when I go in late-Feb I may skip a generation as I was planning to try the 2nd generation - which I wasn't even aware of until seeing it in the book.

While I was waiting at the GF for my kids to return from the Pirate Cruise on Thursday, I rented a mouseboat for a half hour. It was a lot of fun, although midway through for some reason it slowed down noticeably. I'd like to see Disney allow people to drop them off at a different resort than where you rented it from; it'd be a great additional mode of transportation. I believe the price with tax was $23 or so for the half hour.
