Do you have to be staying at the resort to get the Family plan for the Water Mice. This was one of our favorite things last time and we would have liked to spend more thime there. This time we will be staying at SOG and would like to possibly get the family plan since we will be spending a lot of time at the Poly !!

Bumping this back to page one for you.

You have to be staying at a Disney resort, but not necessarily the one that your getting the pass at. Of course, as with most Disney regulations, sometimes it depends on who you talk to. We are doing a split stay in October, por/bc. I have been assured by several marina cm's that my family pass will continue to be good when we move, but will not change to the other marina we will have to continue going to por to use the boats. Also fyi, the boats at por/fg and the epcot resorts allow drivers age 12 and up. At the MK resorts you must have a valid driver's liscense to drive alone.

would you be kind enough to tell me more about the family plan or direct me to where i can get more info... with 9 days at pofq and 2 more at akl, we might enjoy zipping around on the water mice in our downtime :)

What are these ? I assume boats of some kind right ?

How old do the kids need to be to be in them ?

Thanks :)

Sarah

Captain's Plan: $138.45 buys you 4 hours of boat and/or bike rentals excluding the surrey bikes.
Family Plan: $265.19 allows your family unlimited recreation at the Wilderness Lodge for your entire length of stay! You can rent all the boats and bikes you like, except for the surrey bikes (for some reason). This could save you a lot of money if your family is one of those ?outdoorsy / boating' types!
re available at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside

do you know if it is available at pofq also? or perhaps you could post a link to where you found the info? please and thank you :flower:

I am not sure if POFQ has their own Marina but I think you can rent boats at POR's marina since they are sister resorts.
I got the information partially from tourguidemike-the name and cost of the plans and I emailed Disney to find out if it was available at POR. We also used the plan at WL in June 2004. We first got the Capt. Plan and spend an hour on bikes and 3 on a Pontoon boat. We then decided we had to do the water mice and they let us upgrade to the Family plan. We then spent another 4 hours in them. :goodvibes :boat:
I did a little research and it looks like POfq has its own Marina so I would say if it's available at POR then it is at POfq too!
Sorry I couldnt be more help. You could email Disney and they would let you know for sure. Here's the link.
