We rented two in Feb. from the Contemporary. I don't remember the exact number, but I believe it was about $45 for half an hour for two mice. A half an hour was plenty of time to see all the resorts and have fun, too. This was by far a highlight of our last trip.

So, can my DS12 drive if I go along with him, or would I have to drive?

I am not sure of the answer to your question, but in the event you decide to let him drive despite age requirements (not saying you will but just a caution), note that we saw at least two different water police/natural resource officers (or whatever they call them in FL) patroling in boats that kept a keen watch on the area. I stopped once to take pictures and within minutes, the officer was over to me to see if I had stalled and needed help.

Does anyone have a picture of one of these watermice?? How much do they cost to rent them for like an hour? My hubby weights 250 so I'm hoping it's a 300 pound limit so our son can go with him. Can 4 year olds go as passengers??

12 year olds can drive if a licensed driver is in the boat with them. To drive alone you must be a licensed driver. 12 years old can drive alone in the boats rented at marinas other than Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon. On these lakes you need to be a licensed driver and have your license with you.

DS 8 and I rented one last year and it was one of the highlights of our trip. DS still talks about it and can't wait to do it again when we get there. Sometimes it's the simple things...

Can 4 year olds go as passengers??

We took DD3 this past Feb. She loved it. In fact, she started out in my little boat but I wasn't going fast enough, so she switched to be with daddy. They have little life jackets that fit her perfect.

I have pictures, too. I am trying to figure how how to post one here or put in a link. ( I don't really understand that script prompt stuff.) If you send me a message, I can send you the link to our Kodak online album that has a ton of pictures of these and the views you will see from the water.
