Up until about 5 years ago, you couldn't pay me to drink water unless I was really dehydrated. Now, it's pretty much all I want. And ice. I eat LOTS of ice now.

However, I do not feel like paying $2.50 for a bottle of water at the parks nor do I want to lug around 10 bottles of water a day. So. Is it possible to just get cups of ice anywhere in the parks? And is the "free" water in the fountains OK or do I need to bring packets of Crystal Light or the like? Is there "free" water in the parks?

cs will give you a cup and you can fill it with ice and water at the fountain station, if the fountain station not accessible, it is done by the cm.

Thank you so much! Do they charge a small fee? That's fine with me, BTW, I'm just planning for my food budget and what I'm going to have shipped to our room.

The taste of the water is really a personal preference - I would bring some Crystal Light just in case. Last trip we didn't bring any because we thought it would be fine - we ended up not being a fan of the taste and buying water a lot of the time.

Nope, water is one of the few free things at Disney! :cool1:

At our zoo, the food service folks are told to actively discourage people from simply wanting a cup of water. It's crazy.

Thank you for letting me know.

Thank you. I will add that to my grocery list!

As stated. water is free at Disney. I don't know why so many people spend so much money for the bottled stuff. We have a refillable sport bottle that we take and just refill with ice and water throughout the day.

You mention eating a lot of ice. If this is a relatively new habit/craving, please see your doctor and have your blood count checked. Craving ice is a very common symptom of anemia.
