Since our first trip to FW will be in September 2017, I have been watching a lot of YouTube vids about the RV park. I have noticed that the sites have water hoses at the facets of the sites. Are these hoses for clean-out or are they to be used for potable water?

No way would you want to use any hoses that are left on site for any potable water! Yuck! Always bring your own potable water hose - :goodvibes

Good long hose so you can rinse your site as needed. Also, wash the bugs off your rig after you get there.

^^^^^^ THIS, WITHOUT A DOUBT ^^^^^^

Even if the hose was MEANT for potable water at a site, Do you trust that the last person didn't use it to Rinse their Toilet or Portable Dump Tank?

I MIGHT consider using a hose at a "Fill Station" but definitely NOT at a site. (Plus I use a filter on my hose anyway.) :D

This! We also use filters on our potable water hose, and let the water run from the spigot before attaching hose, to flush our spiders, bugs (yes, we have found both). o_O

Carlin told a story about how they used to swim in the East river in NY, he said his immune system was impenetrable.....

See, there ya go!

I grew up swimming in creeks and the worse thing that happened illness wise was 2 snake bites.

The poor things...I would have warned them if I had known in time.

I would never use a hose that i didn't bring....

please don't let my bride read these posts about snakes...... she may want to cancel our trip

A bit of Common sense and she will be okay. Most wildlife doesn't want to get too close to you. Well..... except the NSS :lmao:

Oh for the love of Pete people! How else is your immune system supposed to develop any antibodies if you don't expose it?

I agree with Tigger Dad. As kids we were in all the local lakes and streams. Played in the dirt. NOT one of us ever had to worry about our immune system being compromised. But I wouldn't recommend drinking from the green hose. Ive watched campers use it for things we don't even want to talk about...................

Cant wait till wine and food.................... October is a long way out still.

I clean the hose end with simple green and then put a fitting on the end of it with a nozzle, that way I can clean things (truck and trailer etc) without wasting water.
