Hi guys

What does everyone do ? Were off site so will be going to Walmart etc so will pick up a crate or two, but don't fancy carrying half a dozen bottles around all day, does anyone use the brita water filter bottles?? heard the water from the drinking fountains is terrable, do they help? Was also thinking to bring orange squash to add flavour

Cheers Shaun

I had an old style Brita bottle which worked well on my last trip but I still tried to find water fountains that weren't in full sun.

I can't get the filters for that style any more so have bought a Bobble bottle for my October trip.

I am lazy - I will either buy a bottle in the parks or if I am passing a place that sells fountain drinks I will get a cup of free iced water.

I don't like carrying anything in the parks really, I vary rarely take a bag so I will forgo the savings for convenience :thumbsup2

You'd get free ice water at places that sell drinks cool everyday is a school day :cool2:

I wish I could get away with no bag :rotfl2: with the kids I can bet I'll have a back pack full lol

I take 2 cold/frozen bottles in with me then get iced water from any CS outlet.

The fountains used to offer cold ok water but over the years they have got worse, don't even try now, just ask for iced water whenever I need a drink.

Since DD was potty trained we have been bag free and love it :cool1:

Sometimes when reading DISboards I wonder if I am the only person buying the 20oz soda bottles.....

If I am in a queueline then will use a water fountain (its OK tasting for tap water) otherwise we get a large soda with lunch and a few 20oz bottles inbetween. Plus the occasional slushie drink as well.

You can get free ice water at any location which sells drinks.
We buy a 750ml bottle on our first day and refill it. We have a koozie to keep it cold which also clips onto a bag/belt. We buy big gallon bottles of water for the fridge in the room and find that usually a 750ml bottle keeps us going for the morning - we refill in the mark if needed but usually we head back to the hotel around lunchtime for a swim.

It's blazing hot here right now. We all have Brita bottles and also use crystal light flavor drops in it. You can also get the free ice water already mentioned and fill bottle with that. We just find that with the heat we are constantly sipping our water!

The water from the water fountain at MK near Space Mountain was putrid. It burned going down like gasoline awful.

We will have soda with lunch and will buy bottles in December however in July we drink water - you sweat a lot and need the hydration and I just can't drink that much soda.

Same here Elise lol too much soda and my mouth feels like sand paper :lmao:

I have a couple of HydroFlasks that keeps the water cold all day if you needed.
Then I have 3 frozen bottles which will defrost throughout the day.

We normally leave a few frozen bottles in the boot of the car so that the troops can have a drink while we leave the parks.

Funny thing is they have to be encouraged to drink water at home. Whereas in Florida they nearly fight over the coldest bottles :rotfl:;)

I never drink water at home, yet in Florida I drink more water than anything else now. Even in restaurants I ask for tap water. Don't see point in paying $2-$3 +tip for something I am not enjoying when water is free.
Karen & Matt totally the opposite, they drink water at home but soda's in Florida :confused3
