I think we are finally headed to Water Country on Monday (we bought the tickets over a month ago at AAA). According to their website parking is free or you can pay for a prefered spot. Any idea how much for preferred parking and how much closer it really is?

Also, you can bring your own cooler, but I know the kids will want something to eat. What are the prices like? How much are locker rentals?

Finally, anything else I should be aware of?

Thanks!!

We have never paid for preferred parking, somtimes it's a bit of a walk but it's not too bad. We try to get there early !:thumbsup2
The prices for food are similar to WDW ,I'd say. For example,it's about $4.00 for a fried dough. I usually have packed a lunch/drinks and let the kids get one snack.:thumbsup2
I have rented a locker for the day ,since we go off and leave our bags in an area for a while unattended ...I don't remember the exact price , but I'd say it's about $5-6 for the day...you could check their website ,I think it has locker rental prices. They also rent "tubes" ,but we have never needed them. The rides where tubes are needed ...they provide them !:thumbsup2
Have fun!:cool1:
No Water Country for us this year ,since we are going to WDW !:woohoo:

Preferred parking is right in front of the entrance.... it cost $11 or $12 dollars. not worth it if you ask me we always get there early and the walk is like 5 minutes if that.

locker rentals are $5 for the day as is the tube rentals but you get $2 back ( when you return the tube)for the wave pool.

Prices for food are ok. Yuo can get fried dough for like $6 and pizza hut personal pan pizzasand chicken finger / burgers hot doigs fries for like $8 - 10 bucks. They have dippin dots etc. You can bring coolers in. but no glass. Bring plenty to drink as it can get really hot and you can get dehydrated fast.
Throw your stuff near the wave pool as you enter the park to the right
and head to the back of the park first as it does get crowded back there cuz thats where the best slides are. Makje sure you do the black hole and the warp 8, the screamer and dragons den before the camps get there.
Have fun! I love Water Country!:cool1:

I just looked at their website and it says NO Glass...they might check your cooler ,so make sure you do not have any glass containers.
:thumbsup2 Have a great day and arrive early !

I wouldn't pay for the parking either. I would get there early. It really is a fun place to go. Have fun:goodvibes

Ahhhhh camps!!!! I purposely decided to go Monday instead of today, the crowds would be less. Although I have to say, we did NH two weeks ago and although there were people at the attractions we rarely had a long wait for anything.

Hoping for great weather and better behaved kids tomorrow

Thanks for the tips

we just went to Water Country a couple weeks ago and did not pay for closer parking. We did not have to walk far at all to the entrance (less than 5 minutes) so it wouldn't have been worth it for me to pay. I did rent a locker and it was $8 ($10 up front, get $2 back when you return the key) Also didn't buy any food there; we brought a cooler with drinks and snacks since we stopped at Sonic on the way up for lunch (we went at 3:00 for discounted price) I would bring lunch and drinks if I were going all day; they have picnic tables and seating in a shaded area. Have fun; we had a great time!

Went at the beginning of the season. I believe the preferred parking was $10 (not really any need to do that in my opinion)

We brought our lunch/drinks/snacks in a cooler and bought ice cream at the end of the day.

prices for food/snacks are your typical park fare and prices are in line with theme parks/amusement parks (overpriced for blah food)...

I had not been there in over 20 years!!! :earseek: (showing my age!!) and was not really looking forward to it, but in the end we all had a very good day.... my girls (10 and 7) had a great time!

Enjoy!

I know this thread is 8 years old.. but I’m hoping to get some comments from recent vistors.
I’m going in a couple days.

I have not been in many years (talking late 90s) but I worked there in high school and college. Usually you can find coupons for 2 off a person. I think I actually saw some tonight at Shaws. Just be on the lookout for those. I believe you still can't bring in glass or alcohol and they search your coolers and bags. I would get some water shoes because the pavement can be very hot on your feet. I can't think of anything else. I f you want to leave and go get food there are options close by(make sure you are stamped so you get back in). Burger King and Taco Bell are across the street and the Plaza next store has a grocery store and Starbucks. Have a fun day!
