Water Bottles & TSA

I was hoping to bring a couple of empty water bottles to fill up with water & Crystal Light in the parks and at the airport. If I leave it empty, will this go through TSA, then be able to fill it once I'm through check-in or will they confiscate the empty bottle?

You can bring empty bottles. I do every time I fly.

In short? Yes, you can bring empty water bottles thru security with you. It is only a full/partially full water bottle that will cause an issue.

I'm sorry to be so heavy handed here. Some of the posts were just not helpful, , others were sarcastic, while others just served no purpose other than to make someone feel like an idiot. With that, this thread is done. The answer has been given.
