Am I allowed to put like a 6 pack of water bottles in one of my bags brought to the cabin? I know wine has to be in a carry on bag but wasn't sure about water

Adding on: the porters don't work for DCL, they work for the port. So 1) they don't know the specific rules for each cruise line and 2) they likely don't care much if a rule is broken, since they don't work for the cruise line there wouldn't likely be any consequences (but taking someone's case of water might result in a larger tip for them!).Absolutely this. Inevitably there will be people who will pipe up and say "The porters took my case of water" but they don't care what the rules say and would take a live alligator if someone slapped a luggage tag on it and gave them a big enough tip.
I bring on a case of water every cruise and check it with the porters. I didn’t know this was allowed until a porter grabbed a case of water out of my SUV and slapped a luggage tag on it. I have done it for multiple cruises in the last year. No naughty room. They just deliver the water to my stateroom with my luggage. If DCL wanted to stop this practice, they easily could - just tell the porters to stop taking cases of water and soda.@happycamper47 - I don't know what they do about the full-out cases of water that aren't in a suitcase because I don't feel the need to bring water on board, the ship water is perfectly safe and fine (and if I do carry on any wine or soda it's in my carry on like it's supposed to be.) It's possible they DO hold those and people have to go to a "naughty room" to get them and are told not to do it again. (IMHO they should be held until the end of the cruise, but that's me.) My guess is that many people are disguising them in luggage.
If you read all the information about the cruise and bringing beverages on board, it clearly states that all must be carried on.
If you choose to take the risk and it busts, just be prepared to pay for cleaning, repair, or replacement of others' property your selfishness damaged.
Hopefully it never busts. You can bet if I ever get my luggage and it's wet when it wasn't raining outside, I will be bringing it up and asking that the culprit be found if they haven't already been and that they cover the cost of cleaning and/or replacement of anything damaged.I bring on a case of water every cruise and check it with the porters. And you are not alone, it happens all the time. So as I said if there was an issue I doubt DCL would continue allowing it to occur since the Stateroom Host/Hostess are the ones lugging it down the passageway to the cabins. If it was at issue, it would be confiscated. PS: I don't bring water on board either way.I bring on a case of water every cruise and check it with the porters.
DCL would stop accepting cases of water and soda if they wanted to. They know it is happening. Their porters accept the cases and the room hosts deliver them. Walk down any hallway when luggage is being delivered and you will see cases of water and sodas. And you are not alone, it happens all the time.
