In our quest to not have to pay the big bucks for water at the parks (or "waste" our snack credits on it ;) ) we were trying to figure out if we should order water from Costco or Sams, get a camelback, bring packets to disguise the taste, get water from CS, etc.

Tonight at Target I found a Liv Pure Water Bottle with filter (Liv, not Live - it's not a typo :))

It filters the water as you drink, holds 20 oz, is BPA-Free. It was $9.99. Hopefully this will work to take some of the icky taste out of the water.

Hadn't seen this product mentioned anywhere, so thought I'd pass along our find and maybe others would be able to save a few dollars to spend on fun things like Mickey Bars and Dole Whips!:mickeybar

Wow! This looks awesome!
I'm all about filtering that yucky water! LOL
Thanks for sharing.

Please let us know if it helps to filter the taste of Disney water. When will your next trip be?

I used a Rubermaid one back in 1999 that was similar. It seemed to work. I don't remember the water tasting too bad.

Can you please tell me what section you found it in? TIA.
I'm trying to remember what else was in the aisle... They had a bunch of the Fit & Fresh items and I think the re-usable, but disposable containers were there too. I was picking up some ziploc bags and found it near them. It wasn't in the kitchen area or the sporting goods areas, 2 places that would seem logical. This was at a plain ol' Target.

I have HEARD though do not know first hand that you cannot safely use any of the drink packets in the filter type bottles. It clogs them up after a few uses. So, this squashed our try at using it. I bring the packets and ship water to the resort ahead of time, Works for us!

I drank just Orlando water in my Rubbermaid one and I don't remember it tasting bad. I didn't add any flavor packets to the water.

I was going to post about this. They are located in the grocery/food section of the store, in the aisle with the Rubbermaid and storage products, as well as foil, plastic wrap, sandwich and trash bags.

HTH,

A race to post this find!

Thanks for confirming the location. I knew I stumbled upon them when I was getting ziploc bags, but I had been wandering too and couldn't remember if it was that exact aisle or in the general vicinity!

Yea it would try to filter out the flavoring.

We just bought a similar bottle at a sporting goods store. Instead of getting 4 (one for each of us) we got one 32 oz one. We will treat the water by filling it from the fountains and squirting it into our other bottles that we carry in insulated bottle holders.

Then we can then mix in the powder if we want.

For our late August trip each of us will have a 1 lt. water bottle in a holder. This bottle will get filled from a Brita pitcher the night before and frozen. We will also carry a few frozen 1/2 lt. bottles of water in insulated lunch bags in our backpacks. To supplement this water, we will use the filter bottle.

Why does my trip to WDW suddenly sound like an extended hike up the Amazon?:goodvibes

Believe me, I did a lot of research looking for some BPA free bottles for me to use at home and for a filtered water bottle for my Disney trips. I finally bought the Seychelle fltered bottle. I think it's about 24 oz and it has a wrap around it and a clip to attach to a belt. You can not use flavor packets - they will be filtered out. I did get the CamelBak bottles for home and I really like those.

As an alternative - if the reviews posted above have turned you off to the above...

You could check into 'pure water 2 go' bottles (do a google search on them to pull up their website where you can purchase) - we've used the sport bottles on 2 prior trips and they work great. Just ask counter service for free iced water - and fill up your bottle with it! The water that came out tasted better than some of the bottled water I've had. (Even when using the water directly out of the Polynesian bathroom sink!)

They are BPA free and are made from FDA-approved Food grade plastic.

The 16 oz sports bottle is on sale for 9.99 right now - this is the bottle we use since it has a higher grade filter on it.

(I'm not associated with this company - just a happy customer wanting to pass along a quality product to my fellow disers)

I was hoping the website would provide locations where they are sold, but there is no reference. I would prefer not to have to pay shipping, and I am also concerned that they might not be delivered before we leave.

I did find New Wave Enviro Products Water Filter Corn Bottles, which apparently work on the same concept. I also discovered through my on line research that they are sold at a local "Vitamin Shoppe" for $7.99.

They got above mediocre reviews on Amazon. Anyone have any experience with them, OR does anyone know what stores carry PureWater 2Go bottles?

Culligan and Innova also make sport water bottle with filter products.

I was so impressed with what I saw on this thread, I ordered them on line.

I then did the research (kind of got it backwards!)

I think everyone ought to look at the reviews first:

I am going to cancel my order.

Wow! Thanks for posting these reviews - I bought one based on the original post, but haven't tried to use it yet. I'm going to return it - that's waaaay too many negative reviews.
