Water bottle refill stations?

Almost impossible to get a cup of ice water at a quick service restaurant that has mobile ordering. Only one entrance, and that's for pickups only. I, for one, refuse to pay $3.00 for bottled water. I'd love to know if the bottles are really recycled.

The bottles are really recycled (at least based on when I worked for the company). Cans and plastic bottles actually have value and it is profitable to recycle them, even though Florida won’t pass a deposit program like many states. Most paper (other than corrugated cardboard) and other plastics, however, really aren’t recycled anymore. It’s not just a Disney thing, it’s nearly everywhere in the world. We used to just ship that stuff to China, but China doesn’t want the world’s waste anymore. It’s too costly to recycle these materials, and better just to reduce our consumption. Most cities still encourage sorting of recyclables in the hope that there will be a solution on what to do with it. Disney does compost organic waste, though, keeping them out of landfills and putting them to good use in its gardening.

A little off topic but we were talking about waste (wasted food) with our server at Liberty Tree because we were feeling badly that he brought us some additional items that we didn't eat. He assured us it does not go to waste and that Disney has a great program for putting food scraps to use.

Disney has one of the largest composting operations I've ever seen. All the wasted food will feed plants around property.

Thank you. I guess Disney still cares more about selling overpriced bottled water than reducing plastic bottle waste. It is a shame there are not more water refill stations.
You can get free cups of I’ve water at any lovcation that sells fountain soda. They won’t refill a bottle for you, but you can get free cups and do it yourself.

There are lots of water fountains so you can refill from those, I do. The water is not always cold but it's the same water you get from the refill stations. You can always ask for a cup of ice from a QS location (or any location that has fountain drinks) and add that to your bottle.

Are the cups you can get free from QS also plastic (I assume yes)? If so, can you recycle those along with the plastic bottles?
