Almost impossible to get a cup of ice water at a quick service restaurant that has mobile ordering. Only one entrance, and that's for pickups only. I, for one, refuse to pay $3.00 for bottled water. I'd love to know if the bottles are really recycled.
The bottles are really recycled (at least based on when I worked for the company). Cans and plastic bottles actually have value and it is profitable to recycle them, even though Florida won’t pass a deposit program like many states. Most paper (other than corrugated cardboard) and other plastics, however, really aren’t recycled anymore. It’s not just a Disney thing, it’s nearly everywhere in the world. We used to just ship that stuff to China, but China doesn’t want the world’s waste anymore. It’s too costly to recycle these materials, and better just to reduce our consumption. Most cities still encourage sorting of recyclables in the hope that there will be a solution on what to do with it. Disney does compost organic waste, though, keeping them out of landfills and putting them to good use in its gardening.
