Does anyone know where I can find the water bottle carriers? I am looking for the ones with the straps that you can carry a single water bottle...haven't been able to find them anywhere. Thanks!!

You find them at the drink /snack vendors in each of the parks. We have a strap from all 4 parks, and my kids love to see them hanging in the pantry as a reminder of our magical vacation. :sunny:

i got a great insulated H20 bottle carrier from a site called nutztogo
it's adjustable to fit large and small water bottles, has a shoulder strap and a big roomy pocket in the front

Got a fabulous one at Walmart last year. Was able to fit my Britta bottle in it, and it has a zipper pocket for keys and those drink mix tubes my boys like.

Are you looking for just the strap that fits over the top of the bottle, then you secure it by putting the lid on the bottle? Or are you looking for more of an insulated holder with a strap? I got our insulated holder at Walgreens, and it is big enough for the Brita bottle. I have seen smaller ones at Ross and Target. :)

I just wanted to mention an alternative to the water bottle carrier. Before our last trip to Disney we were also looking to buy the water bottle carriers and were tipped off about a backpack thing called a Camelbak. It is a backpack but inside the backpack there is a resevoir that holds water. It was an absolute life saver for us. We filled it with ice water at each meal and had cold water all day right with us. Along with having the water it held our diapers, camera, etc. One bag held it all. Although we are not needing it to hold diapers anymore, THANK GOODNESS :) we will have plenty of things we need with us while in the parks. My husband hung it over the handle of the stroller as we were walking and when we got to a ride, just slipped it off, had all of our things and took it on the ride. It is one of the best tips we have learned from these boards!
They come in different sizes of resevoirs, but our bag cost like $80 but, we NEVER had to buy water while we were there. All the restaurants were happy to bring out a pitcher of ice and a pitcher of water. So, for 5 people we saved a lot just that trip on water. So, with each remaining trip we use it for we just continue for it to pay for itself! Have a wonderful trip!!

I have to agree with bhoffman..Camelbak is the way to go. It's so easy its a backpack with a big reservoir inside it can hold like 2 liters and its not heavy to carry around. Just fill it up in the morning with ice and some water and you're good to go all day. its super easy to refill and the backpack sort of keeps the water cold for longer. You can get them at any sporting goods store like dicks, or sports authority.

Thanks for all of the suggestions....I just had not been able to find them around here in the stores I normally go in often (Wal-Mart / Target), but I'll keep looking.

I'm not sure the Camelbak is for me. I'm looking for the straps so we can each have one in addition to our fanny packs, and hopefully mom won't have to lug that backpack around like I did last time! I'm really trying to travel light around the parks this time.

Thanks for all of the ideas!

Just wait til you get to the parks and buy at strap at any of the cart vendors that sells drinks. They are cheap- like 2 or 3 dollars- and they'll have a cute Disney design on them :teeth: I have an AK one.

he parks sell the straps and previous yrs they had water bottle holders and i think a bottle was included one yr I got one fo these in 2000 and either in 2001 or 2002.

Thank you for having this post as it reminded me to go get out the bottle holders and strap to put it with my things for vacation starting Wed when we leave for 12 days in WDW!!!! :cool1: :woohoo: :woohoo:

We found some nice holders at Walmart that you put the bottle in -- no pockets, etc, -- just a piece of somewhat insulated fabric. It keeps the bottle from sweating on you as you walk. We have one for each person in the family. We had to buy straps at the dollar store.

I found nice insulated water bottle holders for our last trip. They really worked well! I froze a water bottle the night before so we always had nice cold water. DH and I have big ones that hold a quart bottle. The strap was big enough to fit around our waist!

I was told the camel is the way to go but it seems like they would be very hot unless you filled them with ice.

I used a Brita pitcher for water. The taste was terrible and the ice too!

:tink:
