watching Wishes from the Poly ????

I know there are three different stretches of beaches at the Poly...can you see the EWP and Wishes from all 3 beaches? I thought I read the music is piped in on one of the beaches, is this true? Is there one beach better than another to view Wishes?

I'm sure there are others out there that can give better recommendations, but when we were there we watched wishes and the parade right from the beach in front of the main pool.....a little off to the right to get away from the pool lights.

Excellent view and perspective for wishes viewing.

We were able to watch Wishes by the Hawaii Longhouse which is right in front of Cinderella's Castle and you could clearly hear the music being played on the beach.

The best spot is the beach in front of the volcano pool. Make sure you get one of the hammocks. That is THE best place to watch Wishes on the beach.

Purely in terms of the view, I can't imagine there's a big difference in viewing Wishes regardless of where you are on the beach(es).

But for the EWP, stay away from the beach in front of Tahiti. I had a room in Tahiti ... we could see SOME of the parade from our balcony, but it wasn't a full view of all the barges ... for that, you'd want to be closer to the pool area, or at least in that direction.

thanks everyone I am so excited to be staying at the Poly. I originally booked the AKL because I couldn't get the Poly, and I had made a ressie for O'hana for our last night so we could at least get the Poly experience and watch the fireworks from the beach at least once. What a treat to be able to watch it now every night from the beach, and just stroll back to our room, instead of either having to wait for WDW transport or a taxi ride home Do you have to stake out a hammock way ahead of time? What about those swings I've seen pics of?

We'll be leaving for our Poly trip in 8 days too...I am sooooooo looking forward to watching Wishes from the beach there!

Wow, what a picture, Eric! I can't wait to see it in person. I sat on this computer every night the last week of December when one of our disboard friends had set up his computer at the Poly for us to watch Wishes every night wishing I could stay there... and my dream has finally come true! Now the EWP is going on at the same time as Wishes, right?

When my family and I stayed there in December 2007, I don't remember ever seeing the beach get very crowded before or during Wishes.

We are staying at the Poly for the first time in June (hoping to get my husband hooked ). Watching the fireworks from the Poly beach is one of the things I am looking forward to. It sure beats fighting the crowd at MK after Wishes has ended.
