Watching Wishes at California Grill - inside or Observation deck?

Is it better to watch Wishes from inside the restaurant (if you are lucky enough to get a window table) or is it better to go outside and watch from the observation deck? Do they pipe the music inside the restaurant as well? And if you go outside, can you bring your drink?

We like going outside-in fact, we never ask for a window table any longer. Yes you can certainly take a drink outside. Last time we were there, they piped in music but did not dim any of the lights.
Should add tho that IF we had a window table, we'd probably stay right there.

We had a great window table and we did not move....

However....i felt like telling everyone to be quiet....cause I'm
trying to listen to the music

Outside is probably better....everyone there is watching the show so
the talking is probably kept to a minimum....and no glare from the windows

We've done both, but if the weather is decent we prefer outside. We always request (and get) a window table, but we really like the view of Wishes from out on the observation deck best!!!

We have been lucky. We have had the window seats up fron more than one time. It's the best. We have also gone outside when sitting in the general room. We have also stayed at our seat when in the general room.

We now preffer to just stay in our seat no matter where you are. It's so much nicer now that the looky loos are not allowed in the restaraunt just to see the fireworks. Now you dont have to fight for a view, and get a pretty decent view from anywhere.

We have done both and like both! I usually go out and take pictures with my camera while DH, DS wait inside. I love seeing the whole thing from the deck - definitely not to be missed!

I love being outside on the deck. We could see from our table, but I think it's more fun to be outside, especially on a beautiful night.
