So it happens that we will be at Disney World on May 12 and May 13 (those are the last two days in a two week/10 days of tickets trip to Disney). The new nighttime show, Happily Ever After, debuts on May 12. We will go to Magic Kingdom and watch Wishes on another night, but I'm trying to plan if we should plan on seeing Happily Ever After on May 12 (opening day) or May 13. Either day, I'm sure it will be popular! To get a good spot, what time do you think we should plan on starting waiting for the show? I'd like to get the best spot we can and since this will be the third Magic Kingdom day, we won't feel like we are missing out on a lot while we camp out and wait. Also, I know it gets asked all the time, but where should we try to get a spot to watch? Where is the best viewing spot? This is my first time visiting Disney World since I was 10 and I'm 34 now, so I'm rusty. lol

1. 45-60 min.
2. In the Castle Hub.

Honestly, whether you watch it opening night or a following night, I don't think the crowd will differ much.

There are so many people that go to WDW and think you have to pay extra for FP..that the number of people that will actually know Wishes is ending and another show is beginning on that date will be miniscule compared to the majority. So I really don't see opening night being anymore packed than the fireworks already are.

If you want a specific spot or a seat somewhere, like Robo said, 60 min or more. If you don't care as long as you have a view of the castle and don't mind standing, then I'd show up like 10-15 min prior

Ok not to derail things but is Happily Ever After replacing Wishes and Once Upon a Time replaced Wishes? Or is this replacing OUAT too? Or what?

1. Yes.

That picture is really helpful. Thank you.
I do want a good spot, so I think we will plan on getting there an hour early. You're right that most people won't even know there is a new show. I'm glad I know so that I can go twice, once to see Wishes and another time to see Happily Ever After. Thanks for the comments!
