Hi. I posted this on another thread about Narcoossee that someone else started, but did not get an answer so I thought I would post again. Sorry to those who read the other one.

My DH, DS, and I are trying Narccoossee for the first time next month. For those that have watched the fireworks from MK while at dinner, can I ask what time your reservations were for?

I could have had an 8:45, which I know would have been great for the fire works viewing at 10 pm. but such a late time for a somewhat heavy meal so I chose the earlier option, 7:50 time. Do you think with a 7:50 dinner reservation, we will be done much earlier than 10:00 or could dinner at Narcoossee take almost 2 hours?

Thanks. :)

If you are going to do appetizers, entrees, desserts then yes, Narcoosees could be drug to 2 hours.

More than likely, you are going to have to go outside on the docks to watch the fireworks anyway since pedestrians stand in front of the restaurant windows and block the views (that's assuming you were given a window table, most of the tables are not). Music is piped outside so even if you are done earlier, you can walk around outside and watch from there.

We have always watched outside when dining here.

Thanks for your quick response.. If we finish early, we will probably go on the docks to watch. It does sound nice that they turn the lights low and put the music on though. :goodvibes That is a EMH night at the MK so we will probably head over there after the fireworks.

If you plan to head to MK anyways I would dine early enough that I could head over before the fireworks. IMHO, the fireworks are much better when viewed from the MK.

B-Ride I am sure you are absolutely right since we are probably going to MK anyway, it is just we have been to Disney many times and have seen the fire works up close a number of times. I just thought this would be something different for us, seeing them possibly while still eating. Thanks for the advice.

:wizard: A few years ago we had 8:00 pm reservations and never thought we'd still be there at 10:00. As the fireworks time approached the waiter started slowing down so that our coffee and dessert was served right before the fireworks began. It was really nice to have the lights dimmed and the music playing in the restaurant. I loved it!

That is great to hear.

As with so many things in life, I guess we will just play it by ear, and see how the dinner and timing plays out. DH would probably want to be outside watching anyway, but I kind of like the idea of viewing while we are eating. This would be new for us. Thanks again all.

We had an 8:45 ADR when we saw the fireworks. We didn't get apps, just entrees and a shared dessert. We had almost finished our dessert (and we were eating at a leisurely pace) when the fireworks started. I can't imagine dragging it out to over 2 hours, but that's just me. :confused3

But as Pakey says, you may not get a table where you can see the fireworks. And even if you do, there well may be people standing outside blocking the view.
But--no way to be sure of any of that until you get there.
Good luck!!
