Watching fireworks from California Grill

To take the stress out of the fireworks thing, do be aware that you can leave and show your ticket and come back. We left, got our children, and let them watch the fireworks with us. So your timing doesn't have to be perfect, and you don't have to camp out upstairs waiting for the show to begin.

This was my experience last time I was at CG too. We had been there almost an hour and a half, placed our dessert order, and the fireworks started. We weren't trying to "linger" - that's just how long it took. The dessert was delivered after the show.

Our party was for 7 each time we had dinner there so timing may be different for a smaller table, but our meal was a little over 2 hours. Our server actually timed our meal so that we ordered dessert and coffee, and had dessert after the display. We did not ask for this courtesy, but he was able to judge that the little one with us was not getting bored and that we were not in any way attempting to manage the timing of our meal. He was very good, my DS and I have a lot of experience in food service so we enjoyed watching a pro time our meal. We were on the DDP and spent a decent amount OOP as well, but we felt he deserved a very nice addition to the gratuity already included because he allowed a very nice enhancement to our meal.

WOW! Doesn't anyone go there for good food anymore? It's one of the best restaurants in the area and all anyone cares about is seeing the fireworks. For shame!

Lol... I go for the food first and the fireworks second. The food is absolutely out of this world! :thumbsup2

My family loves the food. We would go anyway, but we like to have our meal there the night before we leave. It is nice to have a good meal and to enjoy the view, and then finish with the fireworks.

We're trying to figure out what time would be best to make a reservation at CG to watch the 8:00 pm fireworks. Is it better to go at 6:00 or 7:00? Your comments are appreciated. Thanks :)
Actually when we made our reservations we had the same dilemma. However the cm helped me pick the best time. Enjoy
