so I've noticed lately for the sww thread as well as the May cancelation dining thread, the only two I watch, I don't get updates that there is a new post. The sww one I go to all the time, but not the May one, as I thought maybe a lot of people weren't canceling. I found that post today and came to see two new pages.

How does this happen or how can I fix it?

Try marking the forum as "read" which should re-set your notices -- do this in the upper left , on the light blue bar is a button for "Mark Forums Read." Click that and either select the current forum (defaulted) for Mark All Forums Read. Hopefully that will re-set your alerts and emails.
