Just got off the phone with a CM at resort reservations. I had him check to see if there were any PINs associated with my name. Unfortunately, no. BUT...he said to start watching e-mails because they just got a notice today that a new PIN was being released today (?) with e-mails going out this week for discounts on resort reservations. Specifically, he told me it would be a code that would be 40% off Deluxe Resorts (and, I presume, similar discounts of a bit less for moderates and values.

Unfortunately, this is supposed to be one of those name-specific PIN codes that aren't transferrable, so you either get it or you don't. :( I'm hoping we win that particular lottery. It would save us roughly $4000 on our trip in June.

Thank you for sharing! Not only do I hope I get it, but I also hope it covers some normally blacked out times.....
:)

wow, don't mean to sound nosy, but saving $4000 for 40% off sounds like an awful lot. Maybe you book a few rooms or meant to say $400. Anyway, hope we get an e-mail as well. Good luck

Thanks for the heads up :thumbsup2

I did the math correctly. The actual savings would be $3,915.20. Of course, that's only if we get a code. :(

Have my fingers crossed I know last year I rec'd a pin mid-January and I think the year before too.

Currently booked with FD but a % off pin would save us so much more.

i need this PIN!!!

we REALLY want to stay at the GF.... but it's looking more like renting points for BLT or BWI.

got a pin on 12/6 for 40% at deluxe villas (except bcv)
35% at select deluxe (25% grand floridian)
30% at mods and 25% at value. good many dates from jan-early june Minus Easter week. have not called to inquire more info as we just returned and have already decided an all inclusive sit on the beach and do nothing is our next vacation. pin is good through 12/31.

Received this same pin in my email box with my DBIL's name on it.
Have to tell you...I was half tempted to tell my DH that he was going to Disney as my DBIL :rotfl:

I will be good...Disney will send me a pin...
(keep repeating while clicking heels of ruby slippers together)

Hi, not to be nosy or anything, but you realize that the discount is on the room portion only, right? So if you're looking at the discount on tickets and dining, then those pieces wouldn't apply.

Otherwise, have a great and super deluxe vacation!!!

We're all so used to doing our vacations as "cheaply" as possible - wish I could spend that much on a room!!!

Take care,

I haven't received the pin from Disney.

I DID, however, get a discount offer from the Las Vegas Hilton... :headache:

Hi I am new here and have a question. How do you know the pin code email from other emails....does it have something specific in the subject line? I would hate to get one and accidentally delete it.

It normally comes from Disney Destinations in email form. Read them carefully. Sometimes it may look like a PIN but if it doesn't have like a 16 digit code it is not.

I've never gotten a PIN code in the mail from WDW. I did get one from Disney Cruise Lines. That was much easier to read and figure out.

Welcome to the DIS boards!

You would get an e-mail from Disney Destinations LLC and it will look like a newsletter, with a couple articles and will usually start with "we're glad you're thinking of staying at ...." if you have some saved vacations. Not sure what the opening is otherwise.

One of the articles will be about saving money at your resort of choice, then will end with something like "be sure to mention pin code XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (it's really a long number).

Don't ever delete Disney Destinations LLC e-mails until you read them over and over again.

We visited WDW 4 times between 2005 and 2007 and never got a PIN code for any of those trips. But in the past 2 years, they've sent me PIN offers at least 5 or 6 times.

In October, I got two of them. One was for free park hopping and water parks option when you bought a regular priced package. The other was a room only discount. 25% at a value, 30% at a mod, 35% at deluxe, 40% at deluxe villas.

Both of them came from Disney Destinations.

I use gmail, so I can find them with a quick search of my email using the word "pin".

I called today as dh said he received an email from Disney destinations. Sure enough there was one for 7 of the 9 days we wanted to go. I still booked as % off for 6 nights is better than full rate for 8 nights. I have some extra days on a no expiration ticket purchased years ago. If it wasnt for this thread last night I would not have called today. Thank you
