Check out the weather channel about the tropical storm with heavy rains occurring over the next few days. Take percussion with your luggage to ensure it does not get wet while it is waiting to be loaded on the boats. Or being off loaded from the planes and sitting on the luggage cart wait to make its way into the airport. Remember if it is storming near MCO they will stop what they are doing and move the people working on the tarmac indoors. Which means luggage carts will be left right where they are outside while it rains. Some airline cover the luggage but a lot do not cover it very well. Might be best to pack things inside of those ziplock storage bag to be safe.

I always pack for my dd and myself. I put our packing cubes inside the large zip lock bags like you mentioned. I told my dh he should also do it, but he scoffed. We started to unpack our luggage once we were on the ship. Dd and I had dry clothes. My dh did not. And it hadn't been raining heavy, just a light sprinkle. My dh now uses the zip lock bags. He was a commercial airline pilot, so he knew how it works at airports, but STILL didn't listen to me, now he does.
