My DS and 80 of his closest HS band friends will be descending upon WDW on Tuesday for three days of fun! Lucky ducks! They will be leaving from school tomorrow bright and early at 7 am for a 27-hour bus trip (lord help the band directors and chaperones!).
They will arrive in Orlando at 10 am Monday for a full day at Universal Studios. On Tuesday morning they perform at Future World West Stage at Epcot. In all, they get to visit MGM Studios twice, do some backstage sightseeing, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, see Fantasmic, do the dinner show at Medieval Times, plus fun and activities at their hotel. Hmm...did I already say lucky ducks! And yes, I convinced him to stop by Main Street VMK to turn in a few PDF's for mom! Sigh....yes, I did consider volunteering to chaperone...but the combined evil eye from DS at the suggestion (not too evil--lol--he loves his mom--), and the thought of the 27-hour bus trip persuaded me otherwise!
So, if any disers should happen to be at Epcot on Tuesday morning and see a swarm of HS kids dressed in white long sleeve oxford shirts, black dress pants, black dress shoes (no ties!), know that they will be having the time of their lives and that one of those precious kids is mine!
Oh, and if any of you are so inclined, could you please include them in your prayers for a safe trip to Orlando, safe fun at the parks, and safe travel back home. I'd so much appreciate it!
