Watch out, gas prices are on the rise, again!

Just went to put gas in husbands car...pump price showed $2.55 when I drove in, by the time I drove out..they were changing it to $2.59 (this is for regular unleaded), and she told me they just got a phone call that they were to raise it to $2.65 by 2:00 this afternoon..since high test was already sitting at $2.99..that means well over $3 a gallon by later today..diesel was at $2.79.9 when I left...is this ever going to end?..this is a report from Western Maryland, but I assume it's going up all over..so get those wallets out and prepare for them to be a little emptier after filling your tanks!

I picked mine up at the wholesale club last night for $2.49 a gallon. Everywhere else was already up to $2.65...

But hey, Exxon posted record profits last year so I guess those secret energy meetings paid off for someone!

DH called me yesterday afternoon and said if I needed gas I better get it now because they were getting ready to raise it from $2.57 to $2.79. He said they were waiting for him to finish pumping his and then they were going to raise it on his pump. I found it for $2.57 on my way home, so I was happy. I spent over $60 last week on gas, and that was only for 4 days. WHo knows how much it will be next week.

I filled up this morning and there was an unbelievably long line and I couldn't figure out why. That is until I drove further on and noticed that every other gas station was $2.67 or $2.69 and where I just came from was still at $2.49

I quick ran out and I missed the price change by 20 minutes. It was $2.67 and now it is $2.77. 5 miles down the road it is still $2.63.

I heard it will be hitting the $4.00 mark this summer. Why not-the oil industry needs another profitable year to make those oil refineries that are just to costly to build.

I'm near Baltimore and it's gone up ten cents a gallon in the past two days, about 20 cents total in the last week or so. We are one state that didn't have price gouging laws, but I think they were trying to put some in place after the fiasco of the gas prices after Katrina. All the gas station owners around here claimed they went up so high because of what happened down in the Gulf states, but prices jumped 50 cents or more before they even knew what the status was on the rigs and refineries. The prices at most stations changed two to three times a day.

all I have to add to that is OUCH!...hope your vehicle gets quite a few miles to the gallon..and I thought it was bad here in the US!

I have a Jag which does about 20 to the gallon.
Thats why it always seems cheap to Brits when we come to the US
