If you were planning on bringing your car over in the morning, then I would bring the luggage with you. That way you know it's there and there won't be any stress with it. We never had a problem having Disney transfer our luggage from resort to resort. We really had them do all the work because we never had a car. I would do it yourself in the AM so you can come back from EPCOT and collapse!!

I second the thought of putting a code on your phone. But that may just make the little buggers suspicious.

I am kind of scared that there will be people running around WDW without shorts. I do not have any either. It is hard to go shopping without taking the kids and then they all find something and I am exhausted and haven't looked at anything for myself. Plus, I am trying to reduce my size before I go, so I don't want to buy anything until closer to the trip.

Well if you hear about people in Disney without shorts that would be us!!! HA HA HA HA I can't say that anymore the kids and Tom have clothes.. I have lots of Capri things.

I forgot that I will have to do the school supplies before we go. At least I only have one now that needs certain supplies.

Believe me when I say, there were so many times when we were trying to surprise the kids in 2012 that I let things slip...and my kids STILL did not figure it out. They were genuinely surprised. Don't worry, your kids will be SHOCKED...and besides that, there is SO MANY surprises you have planned for this trip. It will be fantastic, promise.

Thank you i do believe this will be easier!!! it's not like i am going to unpack a ton for one night... so this way i can get up when we want get it back into the car then head over to AoA check in and head over to Epcot.

I used to always have a pin code on my phone until the kids cracked the code. Now? they play all games. Honestly now that i have the fake dates this is working so much better in my favor.

See the red blotchy stuff? that's it.. Do you see how SWOLLEN my ankle is? that is what bothered me the most. both my ankles were swollen for about 5 days. the swelling started to go down yesterday. the blotchy stuff is almost gone.

The thing is. I can walk... a lot. ask the girls with our Dis meet. all i do is walk. Think of all the stuff i do on a daily basis! so walking wasn't the issue. it was.... da da dunnnnnnn. the shoes.
time for some new shoes!!!! of course yesterday i went for my hair appointment. then off to Shoe carnival.. then i was told by my darling husband Matt needs new shoes too. his gym shoes are too small. shocking.
i think i have spent more money on shoes from saturday to yesterday then i have ever on groceries for a week!!!
lets recap:
Matt: new gym shoes new sandals. addidas ones. those really uncomfortable ones with bumps on the bottom?

Zack: new gym shoes new sandals comfy memory foam stuff

Meg: New gym shoes sketchers with memory foam see a pattern? 2 pairs of disney flip flops and now a new pair of Nike flip flops with guess what? Memory foam!

Tom: New gym shoes. 2 pairs of sandals.

Me: New gym shoes and 3 pairs of flip flops

Most of our shoes have that WONDERFUL memory bottoms!!!

there is this thing for our insurance called healthways a real PITA where every year we have to take bio-metric screening. then call or go on the web site and answer a bunch of things or look at recipes.. Total pain. well i do it..

well my pay rate increase was supposed to be on this check.

It wasn't on my check then i noticed this dang health ways started to deduct out of my pay check stating i didn't comply!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!

Make a thousand phone calls and now i have to write letters go to the benefits office blah blah.. Why do i have to do all this work when it's THEIR MISTAKE!!! then to find out HR never put the paperwork through! So now they owe me back pay...

I want to run far away from here.

Came in at 5:45 went to the bathroom... ALL bathrooms in this HUGE BUILDING decided to start overflowing... Yes EVERY SINGLE one of this factory looking building. there has to be about 6 different places ALL of them backed up and overflowing.


the water... it was getting a little to close to my office for my liking.. a little WAY to close. thankfully it stopped over flowing about 8sih.

we finally have bathrooms again at 1pm!!!! WHOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO

I am overly excited...


just in time to GO HOME!

I had this same pair a long time ago i wore them to Disney on our first trip as a family long time ago.. I did well with them.. So figured i would get hte same pair..

Let me tell you.. Gym shoes are U-G-L-Y i wouldn't put them on anything ugly. took me forever to find a pair.. and i end up going back to the originals..

Made it home sat around enjoying each other company again, we brought up the silliness that happens when we get together. LIKE:

we woke up at a decent hour. Made breakfast (absent of Waffles.) Today was the day i was able to show the girls Chicago... not the touristy crap which will cost you every penny in your pocket but real Chicago!

Suzi and D~ decided to wear some really cute Disney jewelry!!!

We hit the road! D~ set up a large Dis meet and i will need help with names!!!
I wanted my normal parking spot. which i warned the girls it's dirty.. very dirty. anyone who knows about Chicago knows lower wacker. that is where i park...

they insisted to come with me and walk... OK.
The City was having the bridge lifts wanted to get there before all of the bridges start going.

we make it to Downtown in great time Lower wacker. and to my spot. Which i always thought looked like Freddy krueger lives here. I believe the girls felt the same way...








Ironic thing is ... this is the safest place ever!!!

now we had to BOOK it over to Michigan Ave to one of my FAVORITE places ever to shop!!! First we needed a cab - there would be no way we could make it there on time.

Thankfully we had a great cabbie and got us there as quickly as possible

I just LOVE this store. the theming is out of this world the outside as well as inside just SCREAMS Disney.

In the store the CM's are just as perfect as if you were IN Disney!

How cool is that?!?! This is one of the most Disney places outside Disney!!! try to go there every time i am in the downtown area!



After paying for our purchases i figured we would go to the Scariest place on earth. I know D~ is a huge fan so i put my big girl panties on and brave the nightmare i was about to walk into.

Yes but more on the legs. I am now trying to figure out how to prevent it from happening. But i am not seeing anything on prevention more of What it is and how to care for it. i am SURE i am going to get it in Disney if i got it walking around Brookfield.

Oh my gosh. I love that Disney store. We once walked out of it and were a block or so away before I looked down and realized Abi (about 1.5 at the time) was holding a few stuffed animals in her stroller. Oops. Had to take those back. They laughed so hard. It is such a great Disney store.
And American Girl! Oh the money and time that has been spent in that store. It was definitely our daughter's favorite place. I had a friend that refused to ever go in there with me. She loathed it. It was pretty funny.
Can't wait to see more!

Water tower place is our next stop: and creepy dolls in glass enclosures to ensure they don't come alive and bite people...
Walking through there were girls dressed up like the dolls. (am i the only one who sees this as WRONG?)

My rash didn't hurt it was just to fugly. My kids didn't want to even walk near me. The only time it hurt was in the dryers at Islands of Adventure. After their river raft ride you can pay to go into dryers. We were soaked so we paid the $5 to get dry. Well, we didn't get all the way dry, but the heat on my rash was painful. So, if you get it again, I would avoid any trips in the dryer.

If all the restrooms overflowed at the hospital where I work, they would have to close down. That would be bad.

When you said you took them to tour the real Chicago, I got a bit scared. When I lived in Stockton, CA, there were just places you did not go. EVER! That is what I was picturing. There is Mo passing out the weapons so they can experience the Chicago that tourists don't go to. Glad it was tamer than that.

We were the first family at the Disney Outlet store once. They had Chelsea wear a Magical Cape and open the store. She loved it. I didn't know they did special things like that.

American Girl Doll store. No thank you. We somehow are on their catalog mailing list. Chelsea wanted one for awhile, but she isn't a play with dolls kind of girl. I just couldn't see her playing with it. When Marissa was younger, we were at the Goodwill. Well, she spots a doll from across the store and shouts, "An American Girl Doll!" Well, I tell her to hustle over there, because she just notified the entire store. She ran and grabbed it. It was a historical one and I have forgotten the name by now. It had all the clothes but was missing shoes. We paid $5 for the doll. I bought shoes on eBay and she was a happy camper. Had to watch all the American Girl doll movies. So, I purposefully, kept Chelsea away from that. Marissa sold her doll at a garage sale for $10 a few years later.

Well, this got lengthy. Sorry. Well, it is Friday, I am glad you survived the week.
