Watch out Dumbo, There's a bigger Circus coming to Town...Triplets take on the World

You do not pay for parking at the parks if you are staying on property!

With all the construction at the Poly, you could park there for breakfast, but I wouldn't take the risk of leaving the car there all day and having it towed while you are at the parks.

Yep, I agree with Kathy. Since you are getting such an early time, it might work to just park in the MK parking lot and walking or taking the Monorail over to the Poly. You should get a close parking spot that early in the morning. That way you wouldn't have to move the car after breakfast.

Oh, and as far as I know, the cab should drop you right in front of the Poly. I think Mom and I decided on Breakfast at O'hana in October so I can see my Pluto. :hyper: I'm definitely going to suggest a cab ride from Pop so we aren't panicking at the bus stop again!

We had an 8 am reservation at Tusker House last year, the bus came plenty early - we were the only 2 people on it.

I love the hair - I might have to try something like that myself!

this is good to know.. if anyone knew it would be you!!! was it easy driving around?
Not going to lie.. I like the idea of being carted around by Disney transportation... BUT i would much rather be on time for this reservation..

I think i would park at the MK then take something over to the poly. the kids are going to want to ride the Monorail at some point.. I guess i better go and get schedules for all that!!! Geesh i still have a ton of research to do!!!!! :surfweb: I might have some time to get a ton done today.. The only report i have for work will take me about 15 minutes... I don't let the boss know that... ;)

IF we drive this is exactly what i am going to do!!!
Another scenario: say we get to a park pretty late have a far walk to the gates is there something that will cart us over to the gate???

ohhh More great info!!! THANK YOU!!! I need to figure out how long it will take from AOA to Poly too!!! Gesh more research...

Can I just throw in my 2 cents worth on turning 40? :confused3 IT ROCKS!!!! Seriously, 40 has been my favorite birthday BY FAR. It is such a liberating time...you no longer feel like to have to "keep up" with the younger crowd, the trends, the whatever...you can just be you, like it or lump it. I really loved getting "over the hill"! I hope you find it to be just as fantastic! :thumbsup2

Yesterday i was very busy with researching on how we will be telling the most adorable children on the planet they WILL BE GOING TO DISNEY!!!

Scenario 1- Flying-
This will be crazy early. 6:30am flight out of Midway...
Call from Cell phone to the house.. Go into the rooms and tell them Did you hear the phone ringing? it was someone special. They will have something for you. THEN The door bells rings.. The dogs will go BALLISTIC.. No way will they sleep through this. "I guess that is your special someone!"
They will groggily walk down the stairs, open the front door. To find a HUGE box wrapped in Disney paper.

Scenario 2- Driving-
I will make brunch- consisting of: Tonga Toast- Mickey pancakes- mickey shaped fruit- etc... CLUES!
then ask the kids if they want to do a scavenger hunt. which will lead them to the front hall again OR to the upstairs phone which Mickey will call telling them he left them a present in the front hall...
They will CHARGE the front door opening to again find the box

Scenario 3- Driving-
We sit down to watch a home movie i make with our past trip pictures etc.. the end of the video is MICKEY wishing the kids a happy birthday and he left a present for them in the front hall- again the box

INSIDE the magical box:
three helium Balloons attached to 3 mickey style boxes which will POP open. with a special message:
Box 1- "Genie has heard you made a Magical wish!"
Box 2- "You wished this wish times 3- I have granted your magical wish"
Box 3- "YOUR GOING TO WALT DISNEY WORLD"
Also a small envelop- "RIGHT NOW!"

I could use some help with the wording??
Need help with the clues for the hunt. What kind of theme? Do i do the whole Disney theme? or do i have it very generic? :confused3
I need all your creative ideas!!!

better watch Aladdin again..

Also inside the box will be a couple Tee shirts- pins- the binders i am making with activities and the itinerary of our park days with which restaurants for the day. i might keep the lie of the Poly. or just omit the whole resort let them see when we get there?!?! :confused3
once we get to our destination either by air or road- our adventure will BEGIN!

the dessert party is still not available for the date i am looking for. at this point i am so disgusted with how they are handling the whole situation if i get it, i do, if not. oh well more money in my pocket for other adventures.

In my next 170 days i plan on:
Getting some tee shirts made.
Finish their binders full of fun stuff for either the Air flight or road trip.
Figure out HOW to make a movie..

I have to add here.. I cannot CONTAIN my excitement for this trip!!!! i cannot wait to be back in the worlds. I cannot wait to see the magic in my kids eyes- I cannot wait to feel the magic in the air again.. I have missed Disney so very much and feeling of pure HAPPINESS!!! I am craving happiness and no worries!!! :simba: Hakuna Matata!

Thank you so much.. This does make me feel better..age is simply a number. it's how you feel on the inside. I always go to the beat of my own drum. :yay:

I LOVE all three scenarios. Personally, I don't think I could ever do the drive to Florida again (well, not until we have to because we are moving there) and I would choose the flying option with that surprise.

Turning 40? Truthfully, I hated it with a passion (didn't help that my kids and husband put 40 dinosaurs on my front lawn and my kids told me I was extinct!). But I'd take 40 over 56 any day. So just enjoy the day and celebrate all the good things in your life.

Bahahaha! I'm sorry but that is soooo funny! I would like to steal that idea to do to someone!

Mo I love all the ideas but I'd opt for flying and surprising them early in the morning :) But all are awesome! Box full of goodies will be totally fun!

For some reason I really like #3 too (unless you fly of course).

Love that Meg wanted to show your Disney home videos when D and Josh stayed over. How sweet! This will be the best birthday ever!

I have missed so much!!! I have had A ROUGH WEEK!!! I am STRESSING out!!! I need my disney fix. Things are a little up in the air right now, hoping it will not affect our trip....

So I am so glad that I got a moment to come on here and see all your updates!!! I still like the box o surprises idea :goodvibes

I am bummed that the dessert party is turning out like this! I REALLY want to go, and I KNOW that I will not be able to call every day to book it when it opens! Why can't they just get it together!!!! :rolleyes2

I'm so excited for y'all and your meets! Sounds like a blast, no matter who is in front!!! And I think 40 will be fine! Expecially since you run around like a 25 yo anyways!!! I would collapse in a coma if I was as busy as you!!!

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3245476 This is the disneyland thread I was talking about....hope it works
