Wasting away again in Loserville-(all welcome to grab an adult beverage and come in)

Off to the commissary today. Wish me luck that I don't end up spending a fortune. Hoping to get out of there for $200 or less.

Doubtful...when my mom was doing all her shopping there she would go every two weeks and spend about $250 after coupons. Would fill two carts as well. My brother would eat it all within a couple days.

Hi Losers!

I was feeling pretty good this morning. House is better after yesterday's whirlwind. The rain brought a cool breeze which is going through my house. The cat is making herself scarce and hiding behind the couch because she's scared of the rain. Both kids got off to school on time, with all needed supplies (like 3 last minute boxes of microwave popcorn and six dollars for a soccer shirt for Spanish class) and lunches.

Everything was going great. Until I smashed the door to the dishwasher into my knee! *OW! hobble whimper grumble hobble* I am my own worst enemy.

I'll just be in the corner, waiting for the ibuprophen to kick in.

Morning Losers! :surfweb:

I must be Queen of the Playdates this week. We now have THREE scheduled! Yikes! Worse is that two of three are at my house, so I have to clean before AND after. No not 'really' clean. I figure Cleancom 3.5 is good enough for a playdate. Looks clean, but not dusted...

Have a GREAT day. I have to shop today for DH's secretary. He is traveling, so I actually have until Friday but since we now have so many stinking plans...

Hey.

Another sick child weekend around here. DS2 started on Sunday and hasn't been able to keep anything down yet. Doctor visit yesterday determined that he has strep throat. He gave me a prescription and told me to push the fluids. Ummm... okay... but hasn't been able to keep anything down yet. So the fluids are going in, staying awile, and then coming back. The antibiotics haven't made it in yet. Sigh. I just hope this doesn't spread to DS6, who I have to take to the neurologist tomorrow for the results of his EEG and followup.

I am so very tired of doing vomit laundry. Is there a cleaning service somewhere for this stuff? Like a diaper service, but for puke instead?

I have a teenager, a 15 year old son. I don't want to throttle him. He is a far better teenager then he was a toddler. He was on time out for his entire second year of life for climbing the bookcases to get movies and breaking 2 vcrs in one day. We used to have to take the lid off the vcr and get the movies out with a butter knife. Now he is great, very respectful, doesn't text to much, doesn't talk on his cell to much. The only thing is his grades could be better but we are working on that.

I do have 2 girls and one of them is a constant challenge. I am not looking forward to the teenage years because she is 11 and the drama, texting, bad webites, bad conversations with her friends etc have already started. She was looking up birth control on the computer a few weeks ago. I want her to be informd about that but 11 is a little young for that imho. I am going to have to watch her like a hawk from here on out.

My youngest is a breeze. Always has been except when she didn't get enough sleep.

All in all I enjoy older kids more then toddlers. I feel like I can relate better and talk to them with them understanding more.

I have been on a cleaning streak lately. i cleaned out a cabinet yesterday that hadn't been cleaned out since we moved here. Today I am going to clean out the school supply cabinet. I might take a nap first but it will get done. My husband is just amazed with me. I hope I can keep it up, he is starting to get spoiled I think. If I keep it up I might actually start learning how to cook for the first time in our almost 16 years of being married.

I am still a loser though. I stayed in sweats last night til about 9 pm when I took a bath and then got my jammies on.

I hope everyone has a nice day.

That's what I am afraid of, which is why I'm still here! (That and I am waiting for an email back from the Honda place. They don't like me--I ask for too much information)

Wow--you'd better put that leg up and rest a bit while you DIS!;)

Hi everyone.
Turbo Hope your knee feels better.
MDrob good luck w/ your van. Have to say I have the toyota sienna & love it.

We were busy this morning. Got allergy shots, went to Target & got booster seats & swim shirts, then went to Childrens Place & got a few things. They have 50% off mark downs. So I was able to get the boys windbreakers for $4.25, I wasn't even looking for them but couldn't turn them down at that price!
MIL is keeping them so we can go out to dinner w/ hs friends of DH. Trying to think of somewhere new to go.
I also found out we are supposedly getting a Trader Joes & Ikea w/ in 5 mins of me. Now if I could only get a Gap, Old Navy, & Disney store closer. They are about 20 mins away. But it is going to make the already heavy traffic even worse. I really don't know how the area is going to handle any more.

It shore has been quiet 'round here today...Where is everybody?

Grrrrr :headache: I went yesterday and bought several things at 30% off (but I also had an additional 20% off coupon). Just irritates me when they discount them more the NEXT day!

Whoa! :scared1: Back up. Think about what you just said. If your start cooking for your DH, then someone else's DH will expect them to cook too, then the next thing you know - my DH will expect me to cook for him. Do you have any idea what kind of damage you could do???? 16 years - he's obviously surviving somehow. I probably wouldn't worry too much about him. Now, you, on the other hand - if you start getting involved with cooking, the next thing you know, you'll want to start cleaning too! I'm just trying to protect you from crossing over to the winners. ;)

(I do cook sometimes - when I have time, which is not very often. Unless you count mac & cheese - in that case, I'm a chef. Thank goodness my mother lives nearby!)

I wouldn't count on an Old Navy store...I think they are now on the Endangered Species list...I checked ours out the other day and they LOOK like they aren't even trying anymore.:guilty:

Tink, are you ready to send FE back yet or are you still in your "honeymoon" stage of his return? I kicked DH out this AM for his business trip and had a smile on my face when I did it. :) However, I will miss him by tomorrow AM...:guilty:

He's already back at work, working his first 24 hr. shift.

wow- The Community Board is soooo boring this week! I ventured out to the budget board and saw that the diva cup is now at 37 pages!:scared1:
