Hey Lara did you hear Egan give the shoutouts to Baltimore and Philly. Kind of cool to wathc.

The Pope Mass from Yankee Stadium, it is on Fox and CNN. Egan gave shoutouts to all the diocsese that are represented. Philly and Baltimore got huge cheers. It is weird watching a mass with people waving "terrible towels"

Yeah....When John Paul was in Baltimore....gee, must have been 10 years ago now....the city was all but shut down.

It's still cool to be so close. We were at the Shrine last week and got to see all the preparations.

Found out last night, the young man my dh counciled before he joined the Corps, was assigned to guard the pope in DC on his current visit. He's very proud of Devin right now.

I miss the one who's not here.

I know one funny story about the John Paul visit....my husband was working inside a hotel on the parade route...one of his co-workers was across the street trying to get to work...he was 3 hours late because they would not let him cross the street to get to his work.

Our pastor was up at St Patricks yesterday and there was a bus of parishoners going today. The priest everyone loves bc his homilies are interesting AND short went up with the bus. I am sure people were bummed that Father B wasnt saying any of the Masses this morning
