I am sad to report that old-school tube socks have made a reappearance. I've seen them at HS football games.

DS5 pointed out that I still have my Halloween scarecrows out, the are crafty things that sit on the steps. Yep and the rest of the crap is laying NEXT to the Halloween box it needs to go into.

Yeah, I suck, but remember that my life turns upside down as of next Thursday so it was now or never. DD makes it impossible for 'never' to be a realistic option at this point.

Yep--DD has those. And even Christmas ones with red & green toes. cute.

I couldn't decorate for Christmas so early. I think it would drive me bonkers to have all that stuff around for so long. I don't mind dust but the clutter gets to me.

I keep it all in the living room, Denise. That way, I don't have to see it or deal with it if I don't want to do so. That is the "Christmas Room" and the rest of the house remains relatively Grinchy.


BTW--when it comes to this: "I don't mind dust but the clutter gets to me." I am the EXACT same way. Dust is fine, but clutter drives me nuts.

Back from my seminar

Last night I threatened the kids with a "this living room better look like this when I get home from work tonight" or else threat and surprisingly, it did. Not the "same" clean I had it but pretty close. The kids sulked that "daaaaaaaaaad made us pick up" (because he was mad the Patriots were losing at the time) and he was irritated so he yelled at them. Maybe just maybe he's listening to me griping about how he is too much their friend and not enough a disciplinarian
