The title pretty much says it all. I was in a hurry and threw my coats in the washer and didn't check my pockets as closely as I thought I did. It was in a plastic case but it went through the washer and dryer. I don't know if I had any pictures on it or not but I put it in my camera and it works fine it was just empty. I think it might have been my Disney pics but they are already on cd's so I lucked out there. I did learn a valuable lesson - check all pockets before loading the washer.

I would seriously doubt that a washing could erase the pics and then still work, so I doubt that you had any pics on it.

I've heard of a few people washing their cards with no ill effects. Washing wouldn't delete your photos, so if your card is reading fine, your card is probably undamaged. If you're not sure, try filling it up with something disposable (try taking a video of the offending washing machine if your camera does video!) then read it on the PC. If it's all there, then there's not much reason to be concerned.
