We spent an amazing day in New York City watching our DD perform in the Macy's parade! (She was in the opening number - all the kids singing and dancing in pajamas and in the Santa finale at the end.) The weather held up (it threatened all morning to rain) and we screamed and cheered from the sidelines until I was hoarse ;) Then, we drove home to my brother's house for lots of family and food. It was an absolutely perfect Thanksgiving Day that I'll always be thankful for!

But I remember all the posts before the holidays about people's plans for and worries about Thanksgiving.........was yours what you expected?........better .......worse?

She was in the Camp Broadway group?? I loved that opeing number. It was too cute, and the kids all looked so happy to be there!! You must be so proud of hyer.
We are moving to San Antonio from Mississippi next week. Aside from the obvious Katrina angst, it was a wonderful holiday with lots of blessings. We kept the menu simple, just relaxed as a family and had the kids' friends over last night to watch Polar Express with us. Today, we're mostly about packing and organizing before the movers get her.
We have so much to be thankful for!!!

We had a very nice Thanksgiving. We got to see family we don't see all that often. Great food and good company.

We had a nice Thanksgiving. We went to the parade, came home and ate a quiet meal and last night we watched The Polar Express. It was a great family day!

Eh..it was ok. We went to my mom's in the morning, which is always chaotic. Nobody knows *** is going on and dinner was late (as usual). I tried not to eat anything because half of it was either cold or not cooked at ALL by the time the turkey itself was done. Bleh.

But by midafternoon,we were headed over to the IL's new place which is very nice and dinner (a second one!!!!)was actually pretty ok. :)

It would've been a better day all around if I could've gotten DS to take a nap while we were at my mom's house that morning, but he refused and ended up being semi-cranky all day, with a total and complete Baby Meltdown by evening's end.

We had a very nice Thanksgiving. We cooked, and mad my DH's sister & family, his aunt, my parents & my DB, DSIL, & DNephew.

Lots of good food, lots of laughs...nice family memories. Plus, my mother got to clean the burners on my stove, which she lives for, kooky little thing that she is!

Mine was great. We all went to my aunt's house *a mere 12 blocks away* for Thanksgiving dinner, & we're going there tonight for Thanksgiving leftovers. ;) Glad to hear everybody enjoyed yesterday!

For me, Thanksgiving is always a feast that takes me days to prepare. I just love preparing all kinds of food and give big doggy bags to guests. Even though we have had some personal problems this year, I still had a wonderful time being with the people I love most in the world.

MY Thanksgiving.... I had surgery at 8:30 am that had been delayed for 36 hours because my potassium was at 2. After 20 bags of the stuff it was 3.3. I was discharged at 1pm and went to my oldest dd house for dinner and came home around 7pm to a disaster. I am spending the day today cleaning my house becuase #2dd felt everyone was picking on her. Happy Thanksgiving!
