The first HHN we (me & my husband) attended was in 2006. It was amazing. I seemed to be a target in the scarezones, they were working hard to scare me...it was great. I'm one of those people that cannot scream on queue (think Horror Make-Up Show). Seriously, if someone offered me $500 right now to scream, I couldn't do it. Well, while at HHN 2006 I kept hearing a bloodcurdling scream while walking through one of the scarezones. As I was leaving the scarezone, I realized that the screaming was coming from me. It was such a strange (and awesome) feeling.
We've attended HHN 2007 and 2008 and while they were just as amazing, they were somehow different. The houses had just as many great details, the scareactors were as wonderful as ever, but my bloodcurdling scream was gone. And I missed it. I've come to the conclusion that my first HHN was just so darn awesome cause it was my first, it was so new, I had no idea what to expect. Even though the houses and scarezones are different each year, I know what *kind* of fear to expect. Don't get me wrong, I so look forward to each HHN and I have a great time...it's just, different. So, was your first HHN your favorite?
