For those of you that have checked your 10 day forecast before leaving on your last trip to the most happiest place in the entire world was it right?

I just checked the 10 day forecast on weather.com and its calling for rain on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, which I'd hate BUT being that I'm from South Florida and have NEVER gone to Disney when it is cold out I would soooooooo love for the weather to be in the low 70s like it is predicting. So I'll gladly take cooler weather any day even if it means some chances for rain.

if you are that concerned about the weather forecast, perhaps you shouldn't go? Weather predictions are not omniscient, unless you live in San Diego where the weather report has a statistically significant chance of being 76 and gorgeous today, tomorrow and everyday for the next 10 years...

partly cloudy and scattered thunderstorms do not mean deluge of rain or build an ark.

Well there pretty right on,we go In late march/early april and there is usually no big changes. Good luck on the weather 70's and sunny:goodvibes

We leave Wednesday and the darn 10 and 15 day forecasts change all the time! We would LOVE cool or cold weather because living in south Louisiana, we take it when we can get it. Everyone has packed clothes for both kinds of weather.

I checked the 10 day forecast before we went Oct 25th to Nov 1st. It was very accurate. Warm and humid on Saturday and Sunday, cooler on Monday, even cooler Tuesday and Wednesday, warming up the end of the week. No rain was predicted, we never had any. I know FL weather can change in an instant but the 10 forecast on weather.com was pretty dead on for us.

Nope. But considering we were going around the time the hurricanes (Faye/Hannah) had hit. Our forcast was rain all the time...but it only rained 1 afternoon!!!! Think positive-the weather was better than what they predicted!

We've checked up until the day before we left and it pretty much changed everyday anyway. Luckily, it was for the better.

Our 10 day was from Oct. 20-30 and it was pretty much bang on. low 80s during the day and high 60, low 70s at night. Only one or two days where it got COLD like 40s in the morning and low 60s during the day. Just one day of rain :goodvibes

Not even close. It said 81-85 all 10 days. The first two days were. After that it was colder than, well....cold. Like 40 to 50. They set a record and had frost overnight one night. While at home I do not find 50 to be cold at all because it is very dry here, Florida is HUMID so 50 with a breeze is quite chilly. 40 was downright freezing. We had to buy long sleeved shirts even though we had sweatshirts along, and I bought a blanket to wrap up in to watch Fantasmic because my teeth were chattering. So just pack a little for cool and warm. You just never know.

I checked the day before we left and it ended up being somewhat accurate. Mine was from Nov. 10-15. it was supposed to be sunny on Wed and a possibility of rain on Thurs & Fri only it ended up pouring Wed evening and I brought my umbrella the next day for nothing. And Friday it didn't rain at all.

Honestly, it is just a "prediction" and never 100% accurate. Pack for all possible weather occassions that fit your time of visit so that you will be prepared.

wasn't accurate at all...not the 10 day forecast before we got there, and not the daily forecasts on the local Orlando channel or weather channel or online forecasts. We were there in September...all forecasts called for hurricane storms, rain every day and cool temps (for Florida in September)

Actual weather while we were there: Rained only a couple hours of one day--and that was light mist to light rain. No massive thunderstorms, no drenching down pours, no high wind. And no hurricane landfalls in Florida anywhere while we were there...the week before, yes. But three tropical storms stayed off in the ocean while we were there, even though doom & gloom forecasts had them hitting Florida supposedly while we were there. Lots of humidity, but the temps were close to normal (high 80's most of the week we were there.) We were prepared for the worst (loads of ponchos, changes of shoes, etc.) Even took "hurricane food" for the room in case we were locked down. Brought most of the ponchos home for next trip, and all the food.

Well last year it gave us lows in the high 40s-low 50s with highs in the low to mid 70s. I checked the day we were leaving. We had lows in the 70s and highs in mid 80s.

This year, the day before we left, it gave me lows in the 70s and highs in the 80s. We had a couple of days like that, but most were lows in the 30s or 40s with highs in the 50s to 60s.

I've learned always bring a couple pair of jeans, shirts to layer or light jackets and a couple pairs of shorts.

Every other year it has been right, but living off the coast (and two for FL) can change things at the drop of a hat.

May is so much easier-shorts,skorts,t shirts and flip flops. Everything fits into 1 suitcase.
Thanksgiving always means 1 lg suitcase and 1 med because you're never quite sure if it will be warm everyday or cold for a few days.

I always check a day or two before leaving on a trip and the general forecast is typically quite accurate, as far as temperature is concerned. I really do not pay attention to rain forecast for Florida, it is part of the territory there and I really do not care much if it rains.

My recommendation?...
Stop looking at the forecast until you actually get to the resort and don't worry about it until you are planning the next day's activities. Then check out the forecast for the next day and pack your park-going bag appropriately for that day.

If you check every friggin' day (several times a day) before your trip you are going to drive yourself nuts. Know that the weather can be from chilly to warm and come prepared for either/or. You can always get ponchos there if you are worried about rain, but unless it calls for a serious storm I bet you have a great time. Even if it DOES storm you will find a way to enjoy yourself.

Basically stop checking the weather and get ready to have a blast.

Good idea except I like to have an idea what to pack. It's easy if you go from May-Oct because you'll know pack for hot weather. Nov through April is not so easy.

I know it is tough with airlines charging for bags now, but pack for both contingencies. We are going the first of January and we are packing shorts, pants, long sleeves, short sleeves and tank tops. We are going to throw in a couple sweatshirts per person and one heavier (not snow-worthy, but waterproof) coat.

Going in the winter means more stuff to take with you just in case… and HOPE you only need to wear the shorts.

One idea for more compact packing is to get the vacuum bags at Walmart or target. When you re-pack you will need to borrow a vacuum from housekeeping.
