Was/is there a Michael's ad this week?

I didn't see one in our paper but then we don't always get all the ads anyhow. I had DH call his parents and they didn't get one either. But I was in a LSS doing some shopping for my Secret Pal when I heard the customer in front of me at the checkout say she was going to Michael's next to use her 50% off coupon which expires today. She also said that there's a 40% off coupon for the rest of the week.

I've been waiting for a 50% off coupon because I want to get the new 12-inch paper cutter by Fiskars.

I'm in the metro DC area and the Washington Post had a Michaels' ad with TWO coupons ... a 50% one good Sun, Mon and Tuesday and a 40% one good Thurs, Fri and Saturday.

I was at Michael's last night and used my 50% one to buy a date stamping kit and am planning on buying a large star punch with the 40% coupon later this week.

I get 2 newspaprs each day, my local paper and the Boston Globe. I usually get Michael's ads in both of them on Sunday, but this week only my local paper had the ad.

We had the Michael's ad this week, too. I used my 50% coupon yesterday for my SS. (We don't usually get the paper so it was a treat for me, not my wallet.)

You can always check out the website (http://specials.michaels.com/locate.asp?sesid=638241207&refid=&waid=) to see what the ad is each week. But sadly no coupon that way.

We had one in Columbus Ohio area but my mother who lives in MI and gets a larger citys paper claimed there wasn't one in hers, yet my friend who gets same paper but differnt Ed. Got one.

Belle0101 I don't have a Michael's nearby so this may be a dumb question, but do the stores have their ads/flyer actually in the store? My LSS does so even if you didn't get one in the mail, you can just pick up a copy at the front of the store.

I got them in the Boston Globe this weekend, but not AC Moore's. Go figure.

At my Michael's, if you ask, they will use a coupon they keep behind the register.

It just goes to show that every store even within the same chain is different in some way.

At my Michael's they don't have flyers at the store, or so they say. I asked once and the clerk told me that all the sale mdse. is marked on the shelves so I didn't need an ad to see what was on sale. I could just walk through the store and see the sale items. Okay, in my opinion, that was kinda rude but maybe I'm just too sensitive.

And they don't keep coupons behind the register. Once a customer in line behind me saw my coupon and asked where I got it so I told her it came in my local paper. She then asked the clerk if there were any coupons in the store and she said no. So she asked what if you don't get the paper or forgot your coupon. Basically you are out of luck she was told.

I think we need a more customer-friendly Michael's near us.

Staying positive though -- there'll be other 50% ads and if a coupon isn't in my paper then I'm going to canvas the neighborhood for one. My neighbors might think I'm a little but 50% is worth it!!
