Was I misinformed or is this correct?

I just got off the phone with CRO (WDW Travel, whatever) and inquired about AAA discounts for June. She told me AAA discounts have not been released past April 15th and I just need to keep calling back??

Is this correct? I wonder if she was thinking of AP discounts.

Hello....She is wrong.

I belong to AAA Wisconsin & am able to book WDW Resorts (at a discounted rate) online. The discount available is 15% off the rate. I was just looking at dates in July a few minutes ago.......So, they're out.

I Hope This Helps!

Yes, she is wrong, We booked a AAA discount for a trip in May and another in June.

got mine yesterday for our April 18-24 on site stay....

I'd just call back and try again.

Can you tell me where you can go to book AAA rates online? Would it be disney.com? Thanks!

No online. You must call to book.

Hi PartyOf5,

If your AAA website is anything like mine, you don't have to call.....There is a link on my "home" AAA website that says "Air Reservations"....

When that link is clicked on, I am also given the choice of booking cars or hotels (reserve a room).

When I click on "reserve a room". I put in the city then scroll down to the "Property" section. In that section, there is a a list of hotel companies & 1 is "Disney World Resorts".

I then click "search for lodgings" and the list of WDW Resorts comes up. I then click on the resort name, & the resort info is brought up.

If AAA rates are available at the resort, there is a "Book Now" link on the right hand side of the page.If the resort has no AAA availability, there will be no "Book Now" link.

Then, click "Book Now" enter your party info & dates and the list of rates will come up.

These are the standard 15% off AAA rates & under the "rate information" section, the following will be displayed:

Booking Code: Stdaa0 Rate Category: Negotiated Rate
Rate Access Code: AAA

Again, this is available through AAA Wisconsin, so I can't tell you if it's available through other AAA sites.

I was goofing around on the AAA Wi website & found this by accident....So, feel free to ask if you have any other questions!

Thanks for the info. My home page is set up slightly different. However, I was able to find the area where I can book hotels and unfortunately the only ones available online to me are Downtown Disney and Swan/Dolphin. Hopefully they will add the Disney resorts as an option in the future.

I would just like to compare the AAA rates, tickets, etc. against the FTP package (or whatever it's called now!) I was able to book. I guess I will call.

Thanks everyone!

Not only did I book for mid-Sept....but I got GF main building, deluxe concierge suite!

I'll take AAA discount anyday to get that!
One can rarely get an AP discount on that GF main building!

Thanks for the web tip, Tink10, I'll have to go check the Texas one out!

Liz....some CMs still are NOT trained for AAA booking in CRO.
Whenever I call, I tell them up front that I'm looking for either an AAA or an AP rate, and I ask them if they are able to help me with those type of bookings.
If they can't, I either tell them to transfer me to someone who can help me, or I call back.

Hope this helps!:wave2:

We called to get a AAA discount on our AKL concierge room for June (which we got) and asked about the deluxe concierge, main building at the GF (where we're staying before AKL) and they told us that suites don't qualify for a discount ever. We have a honeymoon suite booked, so it's not like a 2 bedroom suite or anything like that. Can we get the AAA discount on it? We called twice and were told no both times, but if it's possible, we'll call again.

Liz,
I too just booked a AAA rate a POR for my last night. Saved $25 on one night. Not too bad a deal. Just keep asking. I also made my Hoop De Doo ressie!!! Not too long now to try for the Cinderella breakfast. Wish me luck. YO

For some reason, you can't get the Honeymoon Suite nor the 1-2 bedroom suites, but you CAN get the concierge deluxe suite.
(hmmm...say concierge deluxe "room", OK?)

Go figure, but it saved me about $100/per night with AAA rate, and it's what we wanted.::yes::

Call again and get a CM who knows what they're doing!:wave2:

Thanks for the info. I figured since the 'honeymoon suite' is the same rate as a 'deluxe concierge room' that they'd have the same discounts, but with Disney I guess you never know.

Discounts just run wild...and a bit confusing from one CM to the next! Last summer we reserved the 14th Floor CL 1 BR suite at the CR. The first CM assured me there were NEVER any discounts for this suite, BUT...there WERE discounts for the OTHER CL rooms (12 & 13 floor)!?! I called three separate times, before I finally conceded and paid the FULL amount, no discounts. Some types of rooms/suites are not eligible for any discount. Yet, with so many CM's offering so many varied options, it's always hard to tell. I would have LOVED to save $100 per eve on that suite!!

*Hi, BambyTamby! :wave2:

TTFN...TGIF!!!

We have AAA ressies for Oct at POFQ. I think AAA rates are available until the end of 2004.
