Was I bestowed an Upgrade?!

Hi fellow cruisers!

We are going on the Wonder October 19 and are supposed to have a cat 11 inside stateroom. But, our Docs arrived today (very exciting moment, BTW!) and we were assigned room 5010, which is on deck 5. It looks like that might be a Deluxe Oceanview! Can anyone tell me if that is right? If so, what does that mean? A porthole? Please, someone clarify before I explode with excitement!

CONGRATS!!! 5010 is a category 8 stateroom, with a HUGE porthole, enjoy!!!!

I got the same type of upgrade for my 11/29 cruise! We booked a cat 11 gty and when we made our final payment the TA told us that we were assigned room 5000! Yippee Skippee!

Congrats on the upgrade. I also received my docs today. I booked a specific Cat 11 stateroom and got that (7627)- no upgrade. But, I love the location (been in that area on my previous 3 Disney cruises) so I'm happy. How about a DIS meet on the ship?

Thank you all for your responses! How totally cool! A category 8 will be living the good life!

We have two adults and two kids (boy just turning 5 and daughter 8.5). Will we still have the pull-down bunk thing so everyone has space to sleep?

We paid for a category 11, and we've been assigned to room 2012, a far forward category 9. Anyone know anything about it?

We stayed in 2522 last time and its pretty much the same location you have just opposite side. We loved the location in fact requested the same room for our next time out. We got next door though. On the emergency drill it was very convenient as we just headed to the theatre. Nice and comfy.

I think you will enjoy it.

Mrs. Pete: I think the lower decks with portholes have two small portholes instead of one big one. I also think Barb & Tony have pictures of them on their site. Sounds like nice upgrades for you both! Congrats.

Deck 2 normally has 1 large porthole but the size may diminish a bit the more forward you are....all the cabins on Deck 1 have two small portholes.
