disappointed by the pirates of the caribbean ride in magic kingdom?
im a huge pirates fan. and when i was in disney a few years ago we just never got the chance to ride it. so when i was in disney this past week, i made of point of making sure i got on it. the most exciting part was probably the fake drop in the dark. if it magically turned into a rollercoaster, i would have loved it. because other than that fake-out big drop thing, i didnt think it was all that great.

any other opinions?

(also, i dont think i even saw will turner once? correct me if im wrong. i might have just missed him.)

I love the ride. I kinda grew up on it. I think it's fantastic.


Will Turner's not on the ride. It's Jack Sparrow, Barbarossa and Davy Jones

i mean, its not terrible. its alright.
but thats my opinion.

No, I wasn't disappointed. It's not based on POTC Movies, the movies are based on the ride. Turner doesn't HAVE to be in it, and I could've really cared less whether or not he was to be honest.

Disneyland's version is supposed to be much better though, I can't wait to get the chance to ride it.

I like that Disney rides aren't rollercoasters. If all of Disney's rides turned into rollercoasters, I wouldn't go anymore.

It has charm and nostalgia for me. I actually thought it was fun BEFORE they added Jack Sparrow! (Shocking, I know).

If you want a lot of rollercoasters, I'm going to go out on a limb and say Disney isn't the place for you.

technically, they're both based on a series of books. i believe that is one of the last rides in magic kindgom that walt himself worked on before he died.
