Just wanted to mention that Southwest opened a new block of tickets -- Dates in January of 2017 thru March 8th just opened up a week ago. Anyway, I was able to get round trip air to LAX from St. Louis for $316 per person including all taxes/fees. Based on looking last year at flights to get an idea of what I should budget I thought I'd have to pay over $400 pp, so was really happy with this. This is about the same price it usually costs us to fly to Orlando.

I have never been to Disneyland as an adult as Orlando is so much closer and flight and lodging are so much less expensive there. With this good airfare, though, it's just lodging now that is higher. And actually I'm not spending that much more on lodging, but am staying at a more basic place than I would in Orlando.

Anyway, Disneyland here we come! After 30+ times in Orlando it's time for us to see Walt's original park and California Adventure, just for fun.

Did you check flights to SNA? I'm seeing flights from STL to SNA for $149-158/way all throughout Jan-Mar 2017. A lot of people prefer to fly into SNA versus LAX because it's a much smaller, less busy airport, and closer to Disneyland. LA traffic is brutal.

That for the tip row. We are spending some time in LA/Hollywood first and meeting my sister-in-law who is flying in from Newark (LAX was best for our coordinating times). If it was just us and we weren't doing LA/Hollywood first with an overnight stay there, that would be really tempting for avoiding that LA traffic for sure. With doing LAX our flights from different part of the country are scheduled to get in within a 1/2 hour of each other, which works great with our one rental car.

We are holding fast at $293 pp round trip for our trip in January . This is from BWI to LAX non-stops with great flight times .
I booked with RR points so I am always watching SouthWest to see if the prices go down. If they do , I just rebook and get RR points back to my acount .
This will be our very first trip out to Disneyland after so many trips to WDW , I have lost count !!!
Can't wait to finally go to the "park that Walt built !!!

That's a great price Syndrome. For that far a distance -- Wow! I love SW points and their flexible change policy. Have a wonderful time at Disneyland!

Way back in January I stumbled upon a crazy sale on Virgin American, so for our October 22-29 trip we are flying non stop from Dallas Love Field to LAX - 4 first class tickets round trip for $2225.00. That's all together not each! We can't wait.

Yes, you as well !

I was lucky enough to score a DVC 1 bedroom villa for the whole week at Grand Californian !

Cant wait ! This will likely be a once in a lifetime trip for us .
Then its back to WDW !

So hubby and I are teachers and our week off is President's week and Patriots week in April. Whenever we fly to Orlando it is no less than 650.00 pp x 4 ....Without fail!!! This year we are going to Aruba for 600.00 pp and it seems like a bargin!

I think there's only one Southwest nonstop STL-SNA flight per day. I picked a random day and saw 3 nonstop STL-LAX flights. That might be something to consider. SNA is my preference, but sometimes flight availability is an important factor.
