Warriors LEAVEing the rest behind in October

Becky, wishing you get through that test easily at the end of these 6 weeks and that the Wednesday field days will be easier for you soon. Glad you know you need to stick with it. I sure know it is not easy.

Jim, sorry you all have lost Fall there. We've had some nice days except for the last 2 windy ones.

I have a slight derailment to my training. Spent time in the ER last night and have to get follow-up for some mysterious abdominal pain. Good news is it is not appendicitis as they first suspected. Bad news is that they have no idea what it is. Feeling better today and hope to be out at least getting in some kind of steps soon as possible.

Lily Eeeh i hope you're feeling better. It's horrid being in pain, but some how always feels worse when you don't know where it's coming from. Make sure you keep us up to date and I'm sending a giant (gentle) cuddle!

Jim sorry the weather's gone walkabout. We had our first- got to scrape the ice off the car- morning yesterday and our hour goes back this weekend.... winter begins!

Amy good luck with your PT. Imagine how amazingly fit you'll be in 6 weeks.

Jeremy a thanksgiving race sounds brilliant. Nice to have things on the calender isn't it.

Me I've started to hit the gym again, cross trainer and bike... yawn. At least I'm moving. Still taped, still feels like my shin's going to give way randomly, but we're making progress so thumbs up!

Hey Warriors

Kate- Good to hear your getting back at it. Just take it slow and you'll be back up to speed soon.

Lily - Sorry to hear about your problem. Will pray you are having a speedy recovery.

Becky - Good luck on the new PT unit.

Jim - We also had some warmer weather the first part of this week. The highs got into the 70's and the lows were in the 50's. A front came through and fall weather (or worse) came in. This morning it was 39 outside when I went to workout. The low tomorrow is supposed to be 33.

AFM- Wednesday did 3 miles with a shorter than normal walk interval. I ran 1:15/walked 1:45. After a 1/2 mile warmup, I ended up doing a fairly fast mile for me. 12:20. Several of the run intervals were at a 9:00-9:30 pace. I then slowed things down for the return 1.5 miles. I wasn't planning on doing speed work but my legs felt good so I went with it.

Friday, Did 4 miles. 1:20Run/2:00Walk for a little over 3 miles after warming up. Ran the entire final half mile. So my new, "plan" seems to be working well so far. I'm trying to decide how to progress each of these items. I'd like to eventually get Wednesday to more running than walking and Friday to equal running and walking. And increases in the length of runs on Monday.

OH MY WORD I JUST BOOKED MY HONEYMOON!!!!

Heading to WDW 16-30th August staying at POFQ with dining. He he he. It's stupidly expensive because it's at the end of school holidays here- what you get for marrying a teacher- but it's so nice to have it booked.

Anyway, back to warrior issues. Glad you're all doing well and things are slotting into place.

Jeremy your plan def seems to be working. Well done for your determination.

Creeping off again now :rolleyes1

Kate Whoo Hoo! Love that you will be enjoying your honeymoon in WDW. If you have never been in Auguse, it is quite hot during that time so plan on air conditioned spots for your afternoons.

Jeremy, you are doing fantastically well with your training. You should be so proud.

I went out today with DH and we got in 6 miles. It was slow for me, but I'm ok with that. I'm just glad I got to step. Feeling ok now after that ER trip. Go figure.

Lily - glad you and Ted got out for a walk

Kate - congratulations on booking POFQ for your honeymoon

Today at 1am couldn't sleep so we did our Sunday walk early. I did 13.14 miles:cool1: with a time of 3:49:05. I wanted to do it under 4 hours and I did it.:dance3: My husband(John) continued and did his full marathon plus a little (28.32). This was our goal today because we are booked for the next 2 weekends. We can get easy walks in but I was afraid the distance would not get in and I figured we need it before the Space Coast Half.

Hope everyone is doing well

Kathy

My shoes feel fine- the problem was I wear low socks and evidently until the tongues of the shoes are broken in I need to wear a sock a bit higher. I have scabs on the tops of both ankles which are now healing and not a problem as long as I wear socks that cover them.

I gave blood a week ago last friday which zapped my energy for way longer than I expected- but I did get the full 4 in saturday again.

Hi all

Pam - Sorry to hear about the shoes and feeling zapped from donating blood. Just remember this before a big race (donate at least 3 weeks before).

Kathy - Great job. You'll probably be faster on race day so 3:30 for Disney should be no problem. Keep up the good work.

Kate - Hopefully a coupon code will come up to drop the cost of your Honeymoon. Maybe free dining.

Lily - Good to hear your on the mend.

AFM - I was origionally going to do 3 mile today, Walk .24 mi/run .26 mi. I did the first couple of intervals and decided to go for a total of 4 mile and throw in an extended run cycle. I ran .76 mi. My longest continual run to date. I then finish the 4 miles at my previous walk/run ratio. I'll probably not going to do the extended run every week but I will continue to replace a small amount of walking with running each week for my Monday workout.
