WARNING...WDW bacon is BAAAAD...

We had bacon at a couple of CS locations last week and it was fine, and I do love my bacon. The more ways you can give me bacon the better. I'm like the dog from the BegginStrips commercials, "It's BACON!"

I'm going to eat lots of bacon on my upcoming WDW trip, then I'm going to use this:

Then I'm going to eat some more bacon. :)

Had the Bacon Double Cheeseburger CS at EPCOT. I recall it being quite good.

Haven't read the entire thread but I only eat turkey bacon and was SOO happy that O'hana had this for breakfast. It was very good.

Mmmmm I love turkey bacon....and we're having a Ohana breakfast on our trip for the 1st time. Maybe there is hope!;)

LOVE turkey bacon. This might actually get me to try Ohanas. I have been afraid of it for any meal.

This is a great thread. My 2 thoughts:

1) bad bacon is an oxymoron

2) turkey bacon is just wrong!

We just came back from WDW on 9/6 and I agree with you 100%! I don't remember the bacon (or any of the breakfasts in general) being this bad last year. The bacon is absolutely horrible (we ate at Chef Mickey's, Tusker House and Crystal Palace for breakfast-Crystal Palace being the best of the worst). We booked the bounceback for free dining and won't be going to any more character breakfasts. My kids don't really care about the characters and the food was mediocre at best (except Chef Mickey's-which was just awful).

I guess it depends on how you like your bacon. We hate crispy, overcooked bacon that seems like it's been cooking for hours unless it's meant to be crumbled and put on a salad or some other dish. Other wise, we like it flimsy and somewhat greasy. To each his own. Food is in the eye of the beholder. To me Tonga Toast looks and sounds absolutely disgusting but you may love it.

This will be our kids first trip, and DD 2 not quite 3 is a picky eater...this is almost tempting me to cancel the Pooh and friends breakfast we have planned...for a first trip should we suck up the mediocre food so the kids can see the characters?:confused3:

I like bacon - do not like sausage at all - - - the bacon in Disney is fine. It is not homemade, but for being made ahead of time in bulk and being kept warm, it is just fine.

I think that we all have to remvmber that we are eating at a theme park. It is fine. It is not the best foood I have ever had , but my kids were full and had a wonderful time. Put it in perspective
