Warning Virus/milesource

If you are accessing milesource to day you may get hit wiith a virus I got hit and it
shut me down until I cleaned it up..I contacted milesource and told them, but until
they clear their site I am sorry but I will not be able to go there, So enter at your own risk..

where you were when it happened what it did etc. how you cleaned it up?

Hi Mal,
I was doing Sports Trivia, ...Then my zone alarm went off. I hit heal.
thought it containes it, and re booted my computer, then went back on
milesourse, went to Spots trivis again( dumb..)..Norton came ringing on and shut me down..
the virus said( sorry/:c ) so I went into c drive and that is where I have been
all morning looking for the virus. I found it and contained it in my
vault for now, I have cleaned all drives, and re-enstalled Norton using
the cleanup they provide.. Then went to zone and re enstalled it to
clean all files...when you re-enstall you have to have a clean
disk, which I have several of...I have learned the hard way to
always keep an extra disk for just such a emergency...I bought them
when one of the stores had a sale, and these I got when best buy,
had a free rebate, so it pays to have a virus protection on all times..
Zone alarm I get from their site..I bought it last Christmas and have
had it every since..Hope this helps..I just hope milesourse gets
their site fixed, I am so close for a supercertificate..

of coarse as I am reading this post my Norton anti-virus comes up....scares the heck out of me. Turns out I just needed some updates that I could download.

How does this happen???? I don't have an updated anti-virus protection thingy. My computer literacy is showing again )). How do you know if it's safe to go back???

I have been using my adaware program and every time get at least 3 new bugs.

Here is a site for zone. Click on the free download.http://www.zonelabs.com/
read the tutorial, put it in programs, they will walk you
through the installation..it is very easy.. just keep clicking proceed or
o.k. how ever it tell's you to continue..
then you will have a little icon on the bottom of your screen and a big one on your \
start up .it will tell you how to find and contain a
virus...hope this helps remember just follow the tutorial...
it may seem hard but crashing is harder..so stick with it
and follow through...We are all novices with computers. it's funny
the weird things that keep comming up on the computers.
I spend a lot of time just backing up information..and if you havent
download your bookmarks to a floppy..this is SO important..

Hi, does anyone know if Milesource still has the virus?

They have not replied back to me, so I do not know if it is virus free, So all I do is do
enough to get me a few miles and I am staying away from sports
trivia until I find out the virus is not there, So do the best you can..

Falls1, did you actually talk to a live person regarding the virus? I am asking because I've been trying to contact them by phone and email and have not had any luck with a response.
