To the man that punched me in the stomach this morning at Walmart.....

I certainly hope that your child appreciates the Leapster that you got for him/her by punching a woman in the stomach and then proceeding to run away!

Ok, I feel much better now!

Thank you and I hope you all have a great weekend!

I'm not sure what Wal-Mart can do about it, but if I were you, I'd do something about this.

Last year, something similar happened near where I live. The person who was assaulted went to the police and pressed charges. The news station got footage from the store's security cameras and plastered it all over the news reports.

The one who did the assaulting got a LOT more than the stupid item they fought for!

I was more shocked than anything. I told a CS manager and they asked me who it was, I had no clue where the man went after that. Oh well, I went to Kohls and the manager overheard me talking to my mother-in-law and gave it to me for the same price!

What a *******.

I think I'll stick to cyber shopping on BF's. Who wants to get trampled, shot or punched for a bargain?

:( Michele

That is so horrible, I cant believe the lengths people will go to for material things

Stephanie,

Glad to hear you weren't seriously injured. And kudos to Kohls for their generosity. Then again, I'm not surprised that the Customer Service Manager couldn't do anything for you. Sometimes their hands are tied, even the ones who genuinely care and mean well.

I agree about shopping online. Some people are so crazed by the "get it before it's gone" mentality that they don't think about anyone but themselves. How sad.

Here's hoping that the online retailers get wind of this and offer some pretty awesome Cyber Monday deals.

A few years ago at Walmart no less, we saw a little boy sitting near a TV box with his arm around it, a man came up and started to pick it up and he said my mom is buying this she went to get our cart, he took it anyway and rushed away. Several of the other shoppers alerted the salespeople but he was long gone. Nasty! Last time we went to Walmart on BF.

While at our Sand Springs Wal Mart today, we were looking through the movie box. A lady standing beside us said loudly, "you just took that out of my shopping cart" and the lady she was speaking to just trotted off acting like she did not hear her. We just stood there in shock. I stopped going at opening time years ago, but may avoid Wally World altogether for future day after events. Not sure what I (or my DH) would do if someone were to hit me.:sad2:

I'm so sorry that happened to you. What is up with Walmart. It is the one store that I avoid like the plague on black friday- something happens to people in that store. Did you hear about the one in Valley Stream where a 35 year old woman employee was trampled to death!

What did Walmart do? Don't they have cameras? Really I am so sorry.

This is why I don't go out BF anymore. The joy has turned to crazyiness....
I am so sorry this happened to you .

Stephaniecmc I'm sorry that happened to you - one idiot can totally ruin it for everyone, I hope you're OK. BTW - if you had given the man a quick knee-jerk reaction to the groin you may have discovered he wasn't a man after all ;) Doesn't sound like any men I know.

Walmart is less than a mile from my house - typically I hit it first on my mid - morning BF runs (I'm not an early riser) but this year I realized that walmart takes all my energy and holiday spirit away.

So OFF to Target we went :D It was so nice in there, and we got a number of great deals too ;)

As I told DS, Walmart shopping is for Monday & Tuesday evenings only

Stephine, I am glad you are ok, he was a jerk. But do consider letting Kohls corporate know about how generous they were.
I had excellent service dining out one night and called corporate office and complimented our waiter. Next time we went to there, we requested him again. He remembered us and told us how he got a special pin and other "awards". He said it made his day to be recognised!!

Sorry this happened to you, OP, but I'm not surprised. In California, two people were shot and killed at a Toys R Us.

As to the Valley Stream WalMart, it was a man who was trampled. And the horrifying part of the story is that people knocked him over after breaking the doors off their hinges five minutes prior to opening, and while he was down, stepped over him and around him, and not one person stopped to help him. In addition, they were shoving the other employees who were trying to help him and then were bumping and shovingthe police who were trying to help and the people who were trying to administer CPR to him. I mean, the $2 DVD you got is so important that you must step over and around someone who is injured, and shove up against people who are trying to administer the CPR to him. How dare the injured person get in the way of your getting your merchandise. What a bunch of animals. The pictures of the people who behaved that way should be published (although considering what animals they are, they would have no shame anyway).

i went out on BF once, last year, and the insanity of it reminded me why i stay home.
I did have to venture out at 4pm to drive dd16 to work....no crowds and light traffic. guess everyone is done.

OMG, I'm so sorry!!!! I'm glad Kohl's was able to help you out.
