UGH! Looking forward all trip to our favorite meal at Le Cellier. We arrived for our reservation at 7:50pm and got to our table, famished and thrilled to be at our favorite place about to order our favorite food. We got our menus and thought they must have given us the lunch menus...but no. GONE were our favorite appetizer and GONE was our favorite entree!! They have a new chef at Le Cellier we were told, and he has revised the menu about 3 weeks ago. They no longer serve:
Filet with maple BBQ sauce
Shrimp with wasabi slaw
There are probably other items missing, we just noted these as this is what we wanted. We were terribly dissapointed and let the manager know. We also plan to email the epcot area manager.
There is another shrimp cocktail with seaweed salad. It is not good, unfortunately. The filet is now served with mushroom risotto. It is also 35.00,versus 27.00 for the BBQ. It was good, but nothing special and nothing I could not get anywhere. The maple bbq was unique, this is not.
This change is only 3 weeks old, so none of the online menus reflect it. So BE WARNED, if those were some of your favorites they are GONE.

Oh no - I finally have an ADR there for June( tried 2 previous trips and couldn't get in) . I'll have to start watching the reviews - maybe we'll think about eating somewhere else...

I am so sorry your visit there was bummed by the changes. We have always had wonderful meals there and have ADRs for September. Those 2 dishes you mentioned are not ones we would order (I love the mushroom filet), but that doesn't meand things will not have changed even more by the time we get there.

Bummer :sad2:

Oh man that sucks so much!:sad1: The filet with the cream cheese mashed potatoes is (or was) my favorite meal on WDW property. I am so bummed.

I am here now, will go to Epcot tomorrow and take menu pics

Thank You!! Will you be able to get Lunch and/or Dinner menus?? We usually do a lunch here so I am interested to see if that has changed also?? Joan

Oh NOOOO!!! I loved that BBQ filet with the cream cheese mashed pots!!! I don't really care for mushrooms, so the other doesn't appeal to me at all. I am so disappointed!

I loved that appetizer, so unique & yummy.......
Why, oh, why ???

Now my DD wants to pick out smilies, here goes...
:cool1: :lmao: :happytv: :rotfl2: :worship: :surfweb: :hippie:  :wizard:  :scared1: :3dglasses :santa: :woohoo: popcorn::  :yay: :rolleyes1 :dance3: :cool2:  :sad2: :laundy: :cheer2: :grouphug:

Two points - first, the mushroom filet is not new, or a replacement for the BBQ filet. For a number of years, BOTH filets were on the menu. Second, it's extremelyl likely that if the BBQ filet was still on the menu, its price would have increased comparably (the mushroom filet was $27.99 when the BBQ filet was $26.99)

Oh No - the maple filet with the cream cheese mashed potatoes was my favorite! Why do they always have to mess around with the menus. Why not just keep what works?

None of us like mushrooms and we loved the maple barb. filet, and dh loved the maple creme brulee he said it was the best on property. I heard the chef went over to the Coral reef. LeCellier was our best meal and we were looking forward to our ressies there for our upcoming trip. Linda :)

I didn't notice the other filet being gone because I had already set my mind on the mushroom filet. It was sooooo goood!! Yes I noticed the price did go up to $34.99. They did allow the mashed potatoes in place of the roasted potatoes with the NY strip DD ordered and I know you can get them on the side as well.

The cheese soup is still there and it's still delicious!

I know they had a Mushroom filet on the menu but this one is prepared without parsnips now.

We had lunch as well earlier in the week. I had ordered an open faced chicken breast on ciabatta bread. I ended up sending it back. I could hardly cut through it. The chef came out and told me that is how it should be. I told him that it wasn't just the bread but that the chicken was overcooked as well. He asked if I wanted to order something different but I ended up eating half of my daughters burger and called it a day.
We have been huge fans of LeCellier eating there 2 and 3 times each visit. (20 trips since 2001)But probably will not go back unless our favorites come back to the menu.
Also as far as the price goes I wasn't complaining, just giving people a heads up. I know prices change especially with today's energy costs.

That is a bummer. We ate there 3/13 and had the Maple BBQ Filet. I wonder if we were one of the last days to have it. It was wonderful. *sigh* Hate when they mess with a good thing.

This stinks! That was my favorite entree at Le Cellier!

We went last May and then again in sept...and the menu was different in sept. iasked the server and he said they change the menu a little every 6 month.
