Warning: Le Cellier Menu Has Changed!

Changing things a bit is good-
or things get boring
anyway, my fav is still there--
soup
breadsticks
prime rib
yum !

:cool1:

Oh man! The campfire smores dessert was the BEST dessert at Disney! I'm bummed they got rid of it........

If they want to bring in variety then do so, have a daily chef special, but where certain dishes are popular, and because of this the restaurant is seating at capacity, you have to question the wisdom in removing these items. Disney will know how well each dish is selling, so it's not that difficult to work the math on it.

I will be disappointed as the filet from Le Cellier and concourse were my favourite steak meals, and I know I am already losing the concourse, so to lose LC as well, is a kicker for me personally.

folks--if memory serves, the s'mores and chocolate moose are desserts on the kids menu, so they might still be available.

I would get the Halibut--not sure if I will like the grilled Beets(yuck) I
hope I can get a substitute--hopefully the mashed potatoes!!

hmmm, I am not thinking so, my son was 9 last year and he was unable to get the chocolate mousse... now this year he is 10 and was so excited about getting that.... had it been on the childrens menu last year he would have surely gotten it..he got ice cream with toppings! He was so mad at his sister who was 10 what was able to get it!

as for changing things...my local restaurants that we visit more frequent then Disney doesn't change their menu that much...
so how could you get bored, you go to these restaurants because you see something you like (like us we search here and find the menus) not to show up and find what you had thought you were getting last last time is gone.

Oh well bottom line is I am sure this won't hurt them, it is Disney after all they will do what they want. As for us it is now a choice to go or find another meal. No Biggie...

Hi, I also wanted to say THANK YOU so much for posting the menu changes. It is such a BIG help because I get to pick ALL the restaurants my family and I visit at WDW but they must be serivng something I know everyone will eat!! :) We have enjoyed Le Cellier multiple times over the years but both my DS's want MASHED potatoes with their FILET. So I have seen a few posts about substituting mashed potatoes BUT I do not see them being served with anything on the NEW Le Cellier menu??:confused3 So if they are NOT on the menu at all, will it be possible to get them?? Unless they show up on the KIDS menu?? Our ADR is not until May so hopefully I can get an answer by then. Joan

Restaurants at Disney change their menus a *lot*, especially if a new chef comes in. I wouldn't be surprised, especially for those of you with reservations within the next few weeks, if you could get your steak prepared the old way if you ask real sweet.

As for the price increase... with the huge drought in the SE this summer/fall, the price of grain has skyrocketed, causing the price of beef to go up quite a bit, too. I'm surprised steak in other WDW restaurants hasn't increased as well.

I will be disappointed as the filet from Le Cellier and concourse were my favourite steak meals, and I know I am already losing the concourse, so to lose LC as well, is a kicker for me personally.

I could'nt agree with you more. And I could'nt get tired of the menu if we only eat there once a year at the most. Linda :)

Well, there goes my plans LOL.

I've never been to Le Cellier, so I was going to try the Mushroom Filet during our May trip and the BBQ Filet during our August trip. I was really looking forward to trying the BBQ Filet!

But I guess I'm thankful I never had the chance to try it- you can't miss something you've never had a chance to enjoy.

It is unusual for a place like this not to have a salad as well.....I remember before it wasnt listed on the outside menus....maybe that will be the case this time......I love the breadsticks, the soup and the prime rib so I am happy still......we will see if anyone says anything about the food before we go..

Thanks for taking the photos of the menus.....

Wow, am I the only one excited about the mushroom filet? I love mushroom risotto!

I do hope the smores & chocolate moose are still there-the moose looks so cute!!

Does anyone know if you can substitute the wild Mushroom Risotto with
Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes? I am strickly a potatoes gal!

have seen a few posts about substituting mashed potatoes BUT I do not see them being served with anything on the NEW Le Cellier menu??

It looks like the lemon mustard chicken dish is served with cream cheese mashed potatoes so, yes, you should be able to substitute. (Thanks MickeyNicki :thumbsup2 )

I will say I no longer feel so bad about not securing a dinner reservation 180 days out given the menu changes...

We ate at LeCellier on Friday 3/28. All three of us had the Filet w/mushroom risotto (at $34.99 thank goodness we were on the dining plan). My husband and son are very, very fussy and they did not complain. In fact, we all thought the filet and risotto was absolutely wonderful!
For dessert I had the maple creme brulee, my son the Whiskey Cake, and my husband had the moose....it was quite cute!

Dh and I really wanted to get ADR's there for Aug but we couldn't get in any time during our week...sucks that a fav. is off the menu
