Just read this on another site.......
As of July 1, it will be an offence to feed pelicans at Florida's docks which will be classed as a low-level misdemeanour and subject to a $500 fine or 60 days in jail.
The ban is aimed primarily at commercial fishing boats throwing scraps overboard when cleaning fish and tour boats trying to encourage wildlife alongside.
As with most wildlife, you should not feed them as it encourages them to associated humans with food and whilst it can be a minor inconvenience with small animals and birds, it is potentially dangerous with larger animals like alligators and bears. Only last month, an 18 year old found out to their cost when they went swimming in a canal and lost an arm to an 11 1/2 foot alligator.

I agree do not under any circumstance feed wild animals or birds, especially the birds in theme parks they get really aggressive when the don't get what they want.
Not content with the burger it came back for his fries
The poor chap had to buy a second meal and hide it while he ate. So glad that bird left us alone
) so its so funny to me but she is petrified sometimes.
Smaller birds have never been a problem for me but after getting dive-bombed at Whitby by aggressive gulls after my fish I try to give larger birds a wide berth. Those beaks can be really painful.
